Has anyone else noted the proliferation of resemblances/relationships in the media over the past day or so? For example:

(a) Radio4's 'Why Do You Hate Me?' today featured the sorry case of online trolls targeting a professional footballer with abuse. Is that player who was the subject of the sickening abuse any relation to the professional footballer who was told during a recent game by a referee to stop abusing another professional footballer regarding the second player's family/children?

(b) BBC Six'o'Clock News tonight featured an in-depth, public softening-up piece on a billionaire tax exile who has just purchased a minority stake in a private company which is heavily in debt. The billionaire promised to try to rebuild the company back up to its 'former glories'. Is the money which will be needed for this rebuilding venture any relation at all to sources of finance also known as 'government/tax payer funds'?

(c) The interview with the tax exile billionaire was conducted in a supine, grovelling manner by a breathless BBC Sport journalist. Is this journalist any relation to another journalist who fearlessly attacks other, similar businesses for being 'state aided', breathlessly, of course? Further, is the said 'journalist' actually any relation at all to 'journalism'?

Perhaps it's just me but there seem to be so many resemblances and similarities around these days.. I think we should be told what's going on. If anyone can cast any light on these coincidences, these questions, I'd be most grateful..!
Generative AI.

Serious journalism is over once you get to the point where the reporter becomes the story.
It’s been heading this way for a while but the dumbing down of football by the media in general means it’ll only get worse.
It’s a new generation thing where the constant need for new content means non story’s are amplified just to keep the whole charade alive.
It’s not for me, thanks.

I bet Mike Keegan couldn’t wait to write the article and to get it online. I’m surprised he didn’t refer to City as the Noisy Neighbours.

Not only can United not move on from the past, neither can their army of paid Shill Journalists.(Alex Ferguson’s Famous Battle Cry)

He blocked me for calling out his Mason Greenwood PR. Complete slimeball.

Who the feck does this self-obsessed arsehole think he is?
Your job should 100% be about serious and informative questions regarding City.
You are not writing for a fanzine where "banter & zaniness" are appreciated.
Sammy Boy, I'm sure you comforted yourself with a good buffet at The Ethiad, playing the victim, despite saying you're not arsed.
Get a grip, grow a tougher skin and understand that good journalists gather new and interesting information.
Unbelievably, Sammy Boy, it isn't about you...
When fanzine writers like Mark Ogden and Andy Mitten are now classed as "journalists" you know the UK press is fucked

Can’t remember who came up with the game of reporting comments on BBC HYS but it’s great fun.

Reported a comment after the Brentford game that said “cheats always prosper”

Was rejected as it didn’t break house rules. Escalated it to ask who had been convicted of cheating?

The response

bbc news running a rag propaganda campaign for a new stadia for them and the national team, scruffy **** talking away and the other guy simping on every word.

Pathetic

& yet when Yaya signed for us we were being told that money (sheik Mansours) could be used to build hospitals…….

Meanwhile UK money should be used to build a shiny new stadium for the Rags to benefit the people who have left it to fall to ruin.

Bloody hell Simeone sticking up for Pep and us

Diego Simeone "The world is so full of double standard. If Pep and Manchester city today signs Mbappe for €200 million you would read and hear negative narratives , but when it's our neighbors all is fine it's not oil or Arab money."

"I have to defend Pep who's scrutinized when he makes big money signings. When I look at his club I do not see a man who was bought over a €100 million. Halaand was less than that and obvious now He is above that. I think his philosophy of dominance have confused the world thinking he depends on spending. If He likes He can take a Manchester city academy players and still run away with the league. He has already done that at FC Barcelona with their academy."

"I can assure you it would be a bad day for of us in La Liga if we can wake up to the news of Pep return. "

But Tebas doesn’t mind as long as his beloved Real Madrid are winning La Liga and the CL every season.

How's Sam taken the ' my life is better than your' comment by Pep. yesterday? Hopefully as it was meant.

Hang on. I ask him myself.

Sam! Hope you're ok pal and no leftovers from yesterday. You should have asked us the question if it concerns you.

Pep just exposed that he can make money by being a honest man, while the journalists have to manufacture lies and beg for money! (Please sign up for my podcast at 2 bucks a month blah blah blah)

That's why everyone hates the media - bunch of liars!

Is the right answer!

Can't believe the great man has to suffer this kind of moronic babble
I agree it’s like he’s facing a parliamentary inquiry, there’s no need for it , it’s boring it’s repetitive. I think if both pep and us had our way we’d fuck it off completely, the club need to stop worrying about the image grow some town halls , they desperately need us more than we need them.
