But on another day utd could have won. Small margins

If Ten Hag had anything about him, he would be honest that they got dominated. What purpose does it serve to lie to his own players if he wants them to improve? - the last thing you want his complacency by pretending you did well. Half the players won't be arsed about putting a shift in next week if the manager is satisfied with getting bummed in a derby.

That's why I like that spurs manager. When we beat them, he made no excuses and just said they couldn't overcome us because we're a better team, that's it. That's exactly what a good manager should be telling his team if he wants them to improve.

I was slated for years by reds & neutrals when i said he was average at best.

He's made a career out of running fast with the ball, in a straight line, straight into defenders, and sometimes gets passed men with a lucky ricochet or 2. He shoots from ANYWHERE, and sometimes, rarely, they go in.

He had a slight purple patch where he scored a few, and his defending or tracking back is non existent, and he doesn't even hide his laziness on the pitch.

I kinda get that reds backed him, but other fans were saying he was world class.

Never saw it, never will. He's incredibly limited as a player, and has bagged a £350k a week contract.

Sums them up perfectly.
I said exactly the same as soon as he came on to the scene and nothing has changed, he just runs fast straight at defenders and very occasionally finds himself through on goal still with ball at his feet, more by good luck than any real skill or ability and 9 times out of 10 his runs come to absolutely nothing.

Same with shooting, just selfishly shoots at every opportunity and very occasionally some go in.

There's a reason I call him Rushforward, because that's pretty much all he's capable of.

The trouble with this shite club is any youth player comes through they associate them with a ex player, he’s the next Rooney, he’s the next Robson he’s the next Ronaldo and they end up being the next humpty dumpty because of the pressure. Was Foden Lewis or Bobb called the next Silva , reap what they sow.

The best goal Rashford will ever score is going to be forgotten to the ages ahahaha

Just back from delivering 70th birthday gift and card to a longstanding friend of more than 40 years, who is a lifelong Red and who's just joined me in the 'Really, Really Old Gits' Club'.

We touched very briefly on yesterday's game and his dissatisfaction with Ten Haag and his team and left it at that.

Then I noticed the pile of birthday gifts on the coffee table, most notably two boxes featuring a 'Lego United Crest' next to a 'Lego Titanic' (he's an inveterate 'puzzler' and jigsaw doer etc!)

It was an obvious opportunity but I really didn't have the heart to point out the humour/irony in the juxtaposition of those gifts. I know I should've done so but I just couldn't add to his misery.. so forgive me fellow Blues, I have sinned..

Last October we discussed City's 3-0 romp at the swamp and wondered if the rags could ever be sa bad again (in fact we had had the same discussion after our 2-0 win there in 2021!) Then yesterday they had a dream start after 8 minutes before the sad reality reasserted itself and the rags took another absolute pasting. But then we heard the man himself, none other than ETH, tell us that Utd had actually played well. They could have won. They were really unlucky not to get a draw! My United-supporting friend and I agreed this morning that this nonsense was the product of a delusional being inhabiting a fantasy world. Indeed my friend admitted freely when asked whether he'd enjoyed the match (!) that it wasn't as bad as he'd feared beforehand!

The point is that all great athletes and managers, all those who enjoy success, nevr blame bad luck, the officials, the weather or the line markings (!) for failure. Pep refuses point blank ever to make an excuse. He tries to control those things he can control and work ceaselessly on these. Yet ETH is stuck in excuse culture. "It's bad luck and injuries. If only Dias had still slipped but Rashford had actually scored we would have led 2-0 and won." I think (hope!) that until ETH faces facts head on that United will not improve, there'll always be an easy way out for players from underachievement to underachievement .... and they'll caryy on from pasting to pasting at our hands.

You missed a trick there. Never forget the banner.
