Talksport

51531 attendance according to bbc.
So less than a few thousand off capacity

There were 5000 empty seats at Madrid last night, what Talksport needs to realise is the top teams take the champions league seriously when it’s the last 8. Their beloved rags and dippers don’t consistently qualify for this competition year in year out, so it’s understandable their supporters get a little giddy when they have as much as a group game.

Was a good crowd last night, nowhere near 5000 empty seats.
Even Fletcher said the stadium was pretty full, and added that there were a few empty seats here and there, which is a pretty good turnout, considering the tie was more or less put to bed in the first leg.

Lot more empty seats with the new format and the meaningless games that come with it.

I know I’m only one bloke, but I got on a train at Peterborough yesterday at 1400 to come up to the game. I got off it, in Peterborough, at 1630, when it was clear I would never get anywhere near the ground in time for the game. There were also a myriad of problems on the west coast mainline and the East Midlands quickly stopped accepting LNER tickets due to severe overcrowding. The sooner the trains are privatised, the better……..

Like clockwork. Negative discussion when were involved, just like yesterday forcing a narrative about our academy and whether Haaland will leave.

Every other show on that station is far more positive.

We have had a derby and have the dippers and Arse coming up and people expect a sell out against a danish team whose only claim to fame is putting the rags out of Europe and the tie was put to bed in the first leg. The cost of living is a big factor in midweek games aside from people who work although it’s an alien concept to dippers who don’t work and print their own tickets

There was over 51k there last night and our capacity is just over 53k plays it was sold out or just a few tickets not sold so 1500/2000 didn't bother turning up

Why was it even mentioned?
Unless it was part of his notes handed to him by the producer earlier in the day.
Same as why the fuck were man utd mentioned half a dozen times by commentary on a City European game.
It's premeditated and boring as fuck.
But a least the producer and Co will be happier now knowing "there's alot of tough teams left in the QFs that City might struggle against".

Which is less than old toilet which always has a raft of empty seats, the rags and media try to hide with lighting and camera angles …

Probably in the context of the tie being all but sewn up after the first leg.

I took it as being very complimentary to our level of support.

Exactly this. Savage mentions United a minimum of three or four times every single time he commentates on our games without fail. It just has to be scripted. He’s also very good at getting little snidey digs in just after he has been complimentary about us. Again, all premeditated and scripted. It’s just so obvious. As you say, it’s tedious, repetitive, predictable and boring. But then again, that’s Robbie Savage in a nutshell.
