he didn't...i was suggesting that he mentioned it to somehow become 'that brave pundit who dared to speak its name'...knowing it would get kudos in the press as an heroic act...which it did. ....ensuring loads of punter comments stating that we cheated.
But that’s not what he said. He effectively said he wants us to be cleared so we can get the credit we deserve. He’s right as well.

He almost sounded like he didn't want to say it. Then when he did say it he looked sheepish afterwards.

'Ref Watch: Should Liverpool have been awarded penalty for foul on Mac Allister?'

'Carra: Liverpool will want Arsenal to win at Man City'

'How much has VAR cost Liverpool?'

Fuckin state of this shite from red sky sports.
That fuckin last one - un-FECKIN believable.
The legs up/turn a blind eye treatment the red shirts have had from VAR and some twit comes up with that

You can ask BBC Verify to look at this.. just follow the link.
If you think other outlets give a less biased or less balanced view then you’re in cloud cuckoo land.
I’m not effectively forced to pay a tax for any other outlets, am I ?
Why the fuck would BBCVerify be any different ?

If you don't want to pay for the BBC you don't have to, it's not a tax. You can go online and cancel it now in 5 minutes and they'll even refund you pro-rata for the bit you've not used.

Usually the problem is you want to use it but not pay for it.

I just listened to the Wright comments and I don’t think they are that bad at all. To me, all he’s saying is from City’s perspective they need the 115 charges clearing so the club can move on and get the recognition they rightly deserve. He’s right in the fact that with these 115 charges hanging over our head, there is always going to be negative coverage and doubt over our achievements. It’s the reality of it.
It’s not our fault we have 115 charges hanging over our heads..! It’s the fuckin PL who won’t put up or shut up.. City have always said, bring it and we will defend them no problem …
Wright couldt give any less of a fuck about City, it’s just a clumsy way for him to spout off about the charges without saying we are guilty…!

Even when City prove their innocence he will be one of the cunts whispering about our guilt regardless … !

Yet we serve up our star players and manager for cuddly interviews to promote/enhance the EPL "product" via the sports media hacks and that rag Howson ffs.

It's us that should be shutting up shop to our club access, the day the EPL served us with FFP breaches.

Couldn’t agree more but that’s not relevant to the point I’m making about Wrights comments .. I’d go further regarding your point and ban some of the clowns pretending to be journalists and tell em they can’t come back until they can prove they are competent and not just red top apologist, wumming cunts..!

Genuinely, what bit of what Wright said do you have a problem with?
All of it. He has no knowledge of the charges against the club apart from media spin. He is an Arsenal fan so just like Carragher and Neville is quite happy to talk shit about city but not any other club.

He has no right to drag Pep’s reputation into the mix either.

He should not be allowed to say anything unless he is willing to call out other clubs for erm bending the rules! Or has factual evidence of the club breaking the rules.

Don’t see why anyone can be happy with his assassination of what pep and the players have achieved. We are not cheats and it has been proved at CAS. Didn’t hear him mention that no evidence of wrongdoing was not established 12 times. Did you?

So yes it wasn’t a fair report on city. It was another attempt to discredit our achievements. Viewers should have all the facts available! They were not given sufficient information on Ian’s opinion of the charges. They were given a one sided argument that what City has achieved is not legitimate and no one including pep should be praised for their efforts on the pitch….well not until the charges are proven or disproven. Again, what about CAS! Did that not happen?

So the “elephant” in the room Ian is that City have already been cleared of pretty much the same charges at CAS but it’s conveniently ignored.

Fair and balance with context or not at all.

Mr Ian Wright is entitled to his opinion and he has presented it, fair enough. We know his stand now. No problem there.

My opinion though - As a professional, he should respect the achievements of Pep's team without mentioning the charges. He has played football and was a terrific striker in his days. He knows full well how much it takes to win and achieve this much. Pep has won each and every single one of his title fair and square on the pitch. His patronizing comments that once the charges are cleared then this team will get it's due respect is laughable to say the least. Just a few years back, once City was cleared by CAS, Mr 'best manager ever' Jurgen Klopp said that it was a dark day for football. Why did he say that? He should have said welcomed that decision because a club was cleared of false charges and exonerated. But he didn't and reacted biasedly. And this is a rival manager no less, less said about tribal rival fans, clueless journalists and biased pundits the better.

Final point - No charge has been proven and untill it is proven, it's very very harsh and unfair to not acknowledge Pep's achievements here in England without any subtext. He has been the best manager England has ever seen and changed the football right down from the very grassroots. He has risen to each and every challange that has been thrown at him and conquered it handsomely.

This is my opinion on the issue and it matters zilch because I am not an overpaid ex-player sitting in an expensive studio and spouting nonsense.

Rant over!!!

He didn't say any of the things you've accused him of saying.

So I don't think you, or any of the people getting angry have even watched what he said, so I'll just copy it and you can tell me exactly which bit of it you think is wrong, unfair or biased.

"The one thing I want is for this to all be gone so people can give the team and the manager the love that they deserve and the flowers they deserve. You want to speak about them but there's an elephant in the room and it's not fair on the players or the club".

He didn't "call out" City, that's just a lie. It didn't happen.
CAS did happen and it did clear the club. It was not acknowledged.

If he is going to comment on city it should be done fairly and accurately or not at all.

Praise with a “BUT what about the 115 charges” should not be accepted.

Again, he didn’t mention the alleged behaviours of any other clubs while analysing them. So why should city be different!

So although you are adamant he said nothing wrong in your opinion. In my opinion he should have said nothing at all as it was not relevant when analysing the actual football.

I haven't actually watched it. When I've seen him comment before on motd, he has always looked like he's sucking a bee when talking about us, so it's no surprise he has finally let it out now he's suppose to be finishing (yeah, right).

I don't watch any of the MNF 'expert analysis because experience tells me I can get a better or more valid opinion from next doors cat as it takes a dump on my grass. Don't watch it - just say no. You know what will be said. So many negative vibes, man.

Edit. Just remembered what I did. When that puff piece started, I put on the first half of the Madrid game. Beautiful. The boys and you lot were magnificent that night.

Bravo, well said! Someone should be brave enough to challenge these pundits on camera that just jump on this band wagon. I think Nedum could be that man but it’ll probably be the end of his pundit career.
