Why?? It makes absolutely no sense.

Apparently, clubs have been complaining that the home teams have been instructing ball boys to change how quickly they get the ball back into play based on the scoreline. So if the home team is behind they'll quickly get the ball back, but if they're ahead they take their time. This is supposedly giving home teams an unfair advantage.

Marco Silva was complaining that Bournemouth were doing this a few weeks back.
