fixture to fixture we are minus 5 points compared to last season. which is imo looks a good indicator overall and I would say it puts us around 83/84 points end of season.
few games where we improved and bit more where we did worse especially vs top sides.

of the remaining 9 games 6 were wins last season except the two hardest Spurs away was a loss, Brighton away was a draw and that shit draw vs Forest away where we dominated even had he lead and that fucker Wood scored from their only chance late in the game...

hard to see how we gonna do much better now with lesser form than last season in these 9 games.

GD is against us this time, most our wins will likely to be 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, while can can Arse and dippers stuffing 2-3 teams by 5/6 goals still making it sure that in case of same points GD is against us.

problem is even if scousers do draw two games and win 7 that takes them to 90 points.
we only get to 89 if we win 8 and draw one meaning we need 9/9 perfect record to get to 91 points.

I dont see scousers not winning 7 of these remaining games tho. the 4 home games they have left they will get ref help too and Sheffield, Palace, Wolves, Spurs wont put up much fight imo if they do ref will get in there
away from home its rags, Fulham, Everton, WHU, Villa, out of these rags and Villa make it tight and thats it. dont have any hope in Everton, more like a blunder from Pickford to drop the ball into his net while Phillips probably gifting them a win too vs WHU.

the worse I can imagine for scousers is 7-2-0 or 7-1-1, thats 22 or 23 points, giving them 89 or 90 in the end. we only beat that by winning all 9.

wish he had won at Anfield and won yesterday too :), table would look like this:
City 68 points, Liverpool 66, Arsenal 64.

We have to start scoring as well, 9 wins and plenty of goals otherwise we need Liverpool to drop points in 2 games rather than potentially just 1 game.

Surprised that another reactionary thread hasn't been started by a worried flapper, tbh.

thinkin the exact same!

Only 3 out of our remaining fixtures I am really concerned over Villa this Weds and Brighton & Spurs away. Add Palace aswell tbf.

Both Liverpool & Arsenal play United/Spurs etc

Plenty to play, too many over reactions on here.

According to the Opta Analyst, it's the first time this season that Liverpool are now favourites after yesterday's results. Opta Analyst

I know we moan about the schedule but those extra games need to be played somewhere? There’s a reason why winning the treble is so rare. I think it’s time to prioritise now. I’d rest and risk losing vs Chelsea in the cup and I’d also rest players vs Palace.

Nah Chelski are mid table and crap. Palace the same.

When do we think Ale, Walker and Stones return?

Arsenal were complete cowards yesterday. They showed little or no ambition in the 2nd half.

Anyone's guess who will ultimately win the title right now. Love A Poo in the driving seat, but that could change with 9 games to go.

It's incredible that we are still in the mix again with the potential to win the league 4 times in a row. I remember when we used to get knocked out of the cups early on and would then be fighting relegation. Instead, we are fighting for the title with 9 games to go, semis of the FA Cup and QF of the Chumps League. Reasons to be cheerful. I am proud of what City have achieved so far.

We are possibly not at our brilliant best right now, but we still made Arsenal look like a team trying to avoid relegation yesterday and perhaps some of the magic will return for the run in when it matters.

All to play for. Come on City.

Nothing is lost yet.

The bigger problem is the injury situation, which is partly self-inflicted. The likes of Stones and Ake shouldn't have been allowed to start two international friendlies, given they are the most injury prone defenders and Walker was already injured...

My two cents: IF we win the next two games, we win the league.

Given that between Arsenal and Palace away there are less than 6 full days, and that we play a top 4 team between these games and Real 3 days after Palace, it would be a small miracle if we won 6 pts. But if we do it, we'll have a really good chance, imo.

City,as contenders or Champions under Pep,have always taken the game to every opponent.

We've won games early, late and in-between...but we've always attacked to win.

That's what Champions do....throw down the gauntlet.

Yesterday we had the reserve keeper,no Walker or Stones, Ake injured,Foden fucked by waste coat & an half fit KDB.

Apparently this is the best arse team for over 20 years....but they came with no ambition, fouled by rotation, wasted time and defended for 95 minutes.

A proper ref would've booked Jesus after 3 minutes and two others inside 30 minutes.

City had 70% possession, were running on memory but were still the only team trying to win the game....the mentality of Champions.

Ricco played well because he can move into midfield, see a quick pass and move through the lines to support the attack.

Alvarez & Bob to start on Weds, Vikingo & Phil off the bench ?

It's not looking fantastic but from what we've been through over the years to get to be Champions you'd think more would still have faith.

However, I think if we don't get 3 points v Villa it gets to almost a 2018/19 position.

Chelsea have draws against City, Liverpool and Arsenal, and have beaten Spurs in the league. They beat Villa in the FA Cup, and should have beaten Liverpool in the Carabou final.

They're not an average side, they're a side with good players having a poor season. The problem is that they have enough good players to raise their game for a big occasion. Given the problems we've had with them so far this season, it's definitely not an easy game.

Three points off the top is a challenge because Arse and the dippers are grinding out results, but they both have away local derbies to play, they both have the rags away who although shite will probably turn up for those games and Liverpool also have Villa away. Our hardest game on paper is Villa on Wednesday, and if we beat them I can see us putting a better run together than both our rivals. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be tight, and the bookies have rightly got Liverpool as favourites but it’s all to play for.
