City Treble documentary | Club sell rights to Netflix for seven figure sum | To be aired in April (p5)

To be honest , how many of us would watch a documentary on the Rags or Dippers,
its on Netflix for the overseas football supporters to help increase our following there.
Enjoyed the Sunderland, Leeds, Newcastle Wrexham ones but a Rag or Dipper documentary would only be watched if their seasons ended in disappointment and despair

I’ve binged all 6.

Controversially, I also think it was pretty boring in long periods, well the first 4 were.
Just stuff already seen on Inside City or other City website releases really. Few new bits of Pep which were good but it wasn’t hugely enlightening. I was sort of thinking just get to the cup finals now. ha.

The last 2 episodes were superb though.
The last one certainly coincided with me chopping up onions for my tea.

Id have maybe just done an hour and half documentary rather than the season review format.
This is aimed at Netflix viewers so I’m not sure non City fans would stick with it till episodes 5/6… Just my thoughts though.

Really makes you miss Gundogan and Mahrez though.
We really should have given Gundog 2 more years.

The problem with watching this at this moment in time, is that it’s a sharp reminder on how things are not the same this season.
Maybe not would it ever be after last seasons never to be repeated efforts, but it’s plain to see the efforts that were involved and the downgrade in the squad this season.

The Sunderland one was great. It was actually about a club really struggling but with a great fan base. Also featured our legend Rodwell.

Just wait til the Dippers one comes out at the end of the Klopp reign.
It will be a full on wankathon to the best manager ever lived with Shankly and Paisley spinning in their graves

Just finished watching all 6 episodes.

I have to say it was a great reminder of what we have achieved, and how much it means to every player that has contributed to the success over these last few years.

Made me feel blessed to have been present to witness it with my two lads and close friends who've also been there in the tough times.

I'm sure one of the mainstream channels did one after their covid title win.

Brilliant documentary and it brought all those feelings back again. City is and have always been a club to do things the hard way. It’s just who we are, embrace and accept it.

I was taken back with Pep words about Khaldoon. He is probably the main reason that Pep is still with us. The admiration and respect plus genuine feelings for khaldoon is there for all to see. No way has he lied to pep about the charges.

After watching the doc I cannot wait for us to do it all again someday. You never know this season is still not done…

What a rollercoaster of emotions last season turned out to be. We fought to the end!

Ready to go again, bring on Villa -:)

Absolutely loved this. Binge watched the lot in one go. Only slight ( and it is slight) criticism is why did they have to show a certain game from 1999 - and a club who shouldn’t be mentioned at all except in Derby games - lifting a trophy of which we are the current holders. No need for them to be anywhere near our treble doco.

Just watched the first two. I can only imagine Peps rage at half time in some of our games this season. No wonder he’s losing his voice at times.

On a side note anyone know why Pep always seems to struggle to suppress a cough? Had that myself before it’s a horrible feeling.

Maybe someone's already answered this, but does anyone know how to get subtitles on for Julian Alvarez's bits? It seems like the options are either subtitles for everything or no subtitles at all.

It’s only the first episode pal after that the subtitles are sorted, if you are watching on Netflix press up whilst watching there is a a little tab on the right fir subtitles switch to English but it puts subs on fir everything.
