Some charges did but technically time barring is not a technicality.

Notice It's all about Arsenal in champs league tonight they talking like they are through! Funny when we were a fantastic team and playing champs league it was always mentioned about experience seems Arsenal who have never won it are going to easily get past Bayern!

There were days when the media only really mentioned us in earnest an hour before kick-off because it would have been stupid not to.

the funny thing is when delaney et al go on about technicalities etc they overlook the fact that the law and life itself is a bunch of technicalities and that is where the vast majority of cases are argued, take a case where someone is killed, fundamentally it is a murder but technically it could be manslaughter, murder in the 2nd degree and any of numerous technicalities and they decide the case because that what law is we do not live in a fundamentalist world where right and wrong is black and white, i mean fundamentally delaney et al are halfwitted brainless gobshites but technically they are journalists.

it must have been their stellar performance against porto and there backs to the wall like everton performance against us that convinced them that they will roll over bayern.

I believe it goes even further than that mate. The time barring is as much a part of the rules as anything else. It’s a fundamental, express and prominent rule in the legal agreement between the clubs and UEFA. Everyone knows about it from the outset, and agrees to be bound by it.

People pontificating about breaking the rules fail to appreciate (or choose to ignore) that the time limits are front and centre to that metric, just as much as any calculations around finance. They have equal weight and value, arguably more as they supersede them. That is not a technicality.

The time limit is a core part of the rules, and to characterise it as a technicality, or worse, a loophole, is legally incorrect and is intended to diminish its prominence and the intent (express and implied) behind it, within those rules.

I'm in two minds whether I want them to get absolutely hammered over both legs (I'm talking record levels of goals conceded) or to get a scruffy win over the two legs and then have a CL semi distracting them in the league.
