Klopp announcing his leaving was always going to be a 50/50 on whether it would galvanise them or put too much pressure on them. The last week has suggested the latter and it’s now that that pressure really ramps up too.

Still think there’s too long to go to know anything for sure though

It absolutely galvanised them, no doubt about that. It was just a question of whether that was sustainable, as the longer it went the higher the pressure would get.

Yep that’s what I meant, it did initially but it was always going to be this stage of the season where the pressure ramps up that it has the added impact.

They've rode on that emotion along with the fans and every bad result has been dismissed as letting them concentrate on the league - the one they want. The players have to show up and work for it, and I don't know if they've got the legs or the ability to do so. I expect them to go out of Europe and I think they've got the easiest remaining games so they're still the biggest threat though. But like us, plenty of their games are away from home and outside of the rags they're the most hated team in the league so home fans will be desperate to ruin their farewell tour.

6 games left and 4 of them away from home. one of them bogey side Spurs, other is a decent Brighton who can cause problems, Fulham also a decent mid table club and Forest their life might depend on one point maybe in the end to stay up or go down.

lots of football still to play for, really hope remaining opponents of arse and dippers will stand up to them same as last weekend as imo we will also drop points in 1-2 games still.

Once City get ahead its over as history shows. The only way to win was to remain infront of you. It's over.

let me turn this around, the real pressure starts now after another huge transfer window from Arteta a trophy is a minimum Havertz 60m, Rice, 106m, Timber 40m plus about to pay 30m for Raya still. without much incoming fees from sold players.

Arteta needs to deliver big in CL or PL.being close not enough.

Whilst I don't agree that it's over yet, I do think your chances have considerably diminished with that result. Villa are an excellent side and it's not a result to be doom and gloom about in all honesty, but you've still got some tricky games left. I would expect Liverpool to pick up more points than you over the remaining games, even if we don't.

It's also key that we don't play again in the league until 25th April. So we're not going to be in front for long if you/the dippers win the two games you play in the league before then. We play Brighton away with 2 games in hand but could be 4pts behind with our game in hand against Spurs away where we've historically been very poor.

What's happened in previous seasons is irrelevant. One injury can derail things. One bad decision. Plenty to play for yet. And if either team makes the CL semi final that's another huge physical exertion.

Christ - Imagine if City had that attitude in 2012.

8 points behind with 6 games to play.

No Aguero moment as it was all done and dusted. Time for an early holiday.

Pep really has got into people's heads.
Thats cause this Pep side and his sides in general do that to other teams. He turns his teams into machines that dont relent. Ask Liverpool in the season they lost by a point after going on that long winning streak.

Hard to feel optimistic when you guys have shown you can do it when you need to. Feels like we're hoping you drop point as opposed to expecting you to.
