PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The boring predictability of these attack chihuahuas is as guaranteed as the annual migration of the wildebeests.

City take the lead and the editors press the clickbait button to provoke a response from fans of all the teams.

Yet again we answer on the pitch, and eventually off the pitch.
You are correct.
Many more Ars and Pool fans than City fans. They lose clicks when City win and go top so any port in a storm if you want clicks.

They are in the business of clicks and not even news or even fairness will change this business plan.

I have been a journalist 40 years... sadly, I cannot boast the acronym SEO is attached to my name
Surprise surprise ‘Kim’ is Irish and straight out of Uni with her media studies degree.

Cut and paste tripe fulfilling her remit for a snide City FFP piece the minute City stayed top.

Calm down. He is a City fan, that said City would get the book thrown at them. Some questioned if it was Leicester City, but you wouldn't really expect a Manchester City fan to use the term City for any other team than his own. Certainly not for Everton that don't even have it in their name. Hardly a case of 'the reader' jumping to a conclusion there.

One of the more bizarre things to post and put out, at least how it was framed.

But it WAS interesting to see the extent the comission can disagree with the PL though, which is imo the more significant point here.
Carefully worded. Could not would. And deliberately close to the bone to make the point. So not bizarre even if you didn’t like

Don’t agree with that obviously but welcome to your view. Just a tweet, think you are taking it all a bit seriously
I told you yesterday that you'd need a bigger boat! I just wasn't expecting so many City fans to fall for it and assume it was about us ;)

Changing topic slightly, how did things go on Talksport this morning? Hope you taught Jordan and White another lesson?

Not meaning any disrespect, but the 10 or so pages on here after the post, the confusion, and its eventual removal, suggest otherwise. Or if they don't, fine I individually found it bizarre.

Get the main point, even get the secondary point once explained, but I found the delivery odd. At least as posted on here. Speaking of careful wording 'at least how it was framed' was an intentional caveat.

They were like 2 high school lovers that hadn't seen each other in 30 years.
Never saw Jordan agreeing so much.
White was rightly pissed off as he spent the best part of an hour playing gooseberry to the financial versions of Jake Gyllenhall and Heath Ledger.

For the record, I didn't actually directly criticise the tweet. Just disagree with the poster that thought it was a good way to prove a point. Not in any way out for blood or anything of the sort, just my opinion on another blue's opinion.

Yes i thought City fans would immediately realise it wasn’t about City. It was good today I think. Mr Jordan is “evolving” his view on FFP

Not a problem. And btw, of course it was designed to get engagement. That was the point!

Interesting that SJ seemed so relaxed, and even a little impressed, by Todd Boehly's creative accounting with respect to the Hotel sale, but thinks any alleged accountancy discrepencies by City signal the end of the world.

Perhaps I misjudged the point which for me was multifold and interesting when the Club was anonymised:
1. Just because the PL make a forceful point, doesn't mean it is correct or accepted.
2. There are many aspects of cooperation - the PL said "the Club" didn't cooperate because of x, y and z, Everton said they did because of a, b and c.
3. The confirmation bias that the quotes were about City was interesting to me if not to Guadino
4. The IC was dismissive of the PL case on Everton showing the subjective nature of many aspects even in relation to cooperation and document disclosure.

So, I think it was interesting but hey who cares - its just a tweet. I deleted only because so many people were convinced it was about City and didn't/couldn't see the follow up that revealed it was all Everton and I couldn't be arsed explaining over and over to excited Liverpool fans who thought they had their confirmation.

People don’t read follow ups on here, let alone Twitter ;)

Don't do that again!

I look to your Twitter feed for impartial information and reassurance, not to have the shit scared out of me :-)
Looking to any Twitter feed for impartial information and reassurance was your first mistake. That was never it's intended purpose and like all social media has only worsened massively over time.

Every media outlet seems almost gushing in their admiration of Chelseas creative accounting to dispose of 75 million of excessive debt. Yet want City hung, drawn and quartered for the mere suggestion of malfeasance of a previous manager signing a perfectly legal middle eastern contract with another club for a million quid and not declaring it in our accounts.

Laughable.
