I wonder why Pep thinks it fair to put Akanji in the “John stones role” when he’s obviously not as good at it. And that’s no criticism of Akanji because he is a centre back after all
Nah, it has worked. Akanji with Grealish have been the best and the creators of our best chances

Don’t think we played that bad as people seem to make out… yes they conceded a goal how we all expected they would but we hit the bar, they made some good blocks and have defended in numbers! Don’t think they’re front three have been brilliant by any stretch

have controlled most of that 1st half but that awful, sluggish start allowed them to settle. Bad goal to lose.
KDB wasteful so far, Phil not involved in the match...get him more involved please.
Akanji has lost the ball so many times in their half and we are in danger of conceding a 2nd on the break.
At this level, it is fine margins. Our big players have not really turned up yet.

Seeing a load of social media ‘personalities’ with tickets tonight. There’s thousands of blues who haven’t been able to go tonight because City are dishing out popularity tickets. Wankers

Same issues as most of this season really.
We need twice as many shots as the opposition to get the same number on target and pretty useless set pieces, clearly ignored in training

Still no idea why we started as slowly as we did. There was a point where Ederson just kept the ball for 20 seconds, nobody moving.

They smelt blood, got their goal, and now we're struggling to create a clear chance.

We've enough to turn it round in the second half, but Pep, it's on you to change things.

Haaland needs to work on his heading, swear he has a head shaped like a 50 pence peice. We ain't out of this yet. Come on city!
