The Conservative Party

Dear God.. as if you said that considering your input was "knob"
Responding to a post that said "Idiot" :)

And based on the fact that the same poster wanted to know if I'd been off all day to write a whole paragraph of text that he didn't like.

This is their golden ticket. A policy that appeals to knuckle-dragging racists, to a sub section of the electorate that don't understand the momentous issues facing this country reach far beyond a family of Afghans reaching our shore looking for a shitty one bed hovel they can call safe haven. And for those knuckle-draggers on here that are hard of comprehension, an illegal immigrant cannot claim a single penny from the state whilst here; go and take that pertinent fact to your GB news hate groups and disseminate.

The Tories are now scraping the bottom of their large desperate barrel, and as repugnant as the policy is, I admit I'm enjoying watching this sorry shitshow from afar. In years to come, when that weasels political career is over, I do wonder if he'll realise he was always just a fall guy.
Great word salad but is anyone on here claiming that asylum seekers are entitled to benefits, other than the cash allowance of course?

I would think the housing costs involved and the impact housing asylum seekers has on existing housing wait lists are the bigger issue for many. Most hard of comprehension knuckle draggers are aware of this even if you’re not.

So send one flight.

Call a GE after so no one can question why it's only one and not the multiple promised.

Leave Labour to mop up the shit left behind.

Peak Sunak ineptitude. Call an election late July to campaign through the end of July and through August - when most are away on holiday - same with your reduced number of activists and MP's facing defeat are hardly likely to change holiday plans to canvass support either.

If it were about housing costs, they could eradicate that by processing claims before they reach the U.K.. This would also stop the boats and smuggling gangs.

Instead we get the Rwanda dead cat.

Given that net migration was nearly 700k last year, and that there are something like 3-4 million people on housing waiting lists in the UK, asylum seekers would make a relatively minor difference.

The biggest impact with asylum seekers is the time it takes to process claims, when they do have to be put in social housing, because the majority aren't allowed to work.

Of course, the biggest issue with asylum seekers, is that the Tories see it as a wedge issue, so improving the system to the point where it has minimal impact on society, is not in their interest.

The tweet was dishonest, and worth highlighting given the discussion of asylum policies.

The ‘all the same thing’ is in your head and extremely tiresome.
Seems to be in a lot of peoples’ heads, especially the ones who support the party that’s about to be annihilated.

Has there ever been a Tory message that hasn’t had dishonesty attached to it? Probably quicker that way around for all of us.

It's a common misconception that those arriving by these means are claiming from the system, it's a misconception borne from hate and sadly many in this country buy it; it's the old "they took our jobs" trope. I maintain that most buy into it not because they have a fear of hospitals or schools being overrun (nonsensical btw) but because they are inherently racist; even if they don't realise it.

And the biggest issue facing housing at the moment is prohibitive mortgage rates and the private renting sector being as exploitative as it has ever been; the latter issue is something our esteemed government have had years to redress (NB: before Stop The Boats was even a speck in the Tory manifesto ballsack) but no, it's now the fault of the oppressed families washing up on our shores.

Think you’ll find tories rarely discuss tory policies on their merit these days, alway move the discussion onto other parties and policies.

I must admit the dishonesty stick is a strange one for a Tory supporter to wield. Spectacular really.

I’m concerned about illegal migration and feel the government of the day should do far more to protect our borders from those with no rightful claim or genuine need to be here but the Rwanda policy is utterly horrific and should be binned.

I sincerely hope we never see a single aircraft take off in fact we won’t see any do so before the GE.

The incoming Labour government should obviously scrap and distance itself but at the same time, come up with a workable plan to tackle the issue.

Something must be done.
This is something.
Let's do that.

Rarely will you see a better example of this process. It astounds me how people attach themselves to such policies that - apart from any question of humanitarianism - simply will not work.

It would probably be just as effective to fine each unauthorised arrival £50 and ban them from driving for five years. That would be 'something' too.
