Kinell.

Not only did Pep kickoff the modern trends in the English game of possession-based football, inverted fullbacks, centre backs playing in midfield whilst in possession, outfielders between the sticks, elaborate false 9 attacking setups, and managers buying their clothes from somewhere other than the club shop, but now every manager needs to be a bald man that speaks broken English harbouring an infatuation with Cruyff.

What’s next?

Every manager opens there interview and press conferences by saying “Thez ez so so important”?

I’m surprised she didn’t say Ernie was born a stones throw away from the KOP and is a Liverpool fan.

So let’s get this right Liverpool have gone from Alonso being nailed on for the rats then now Arnie slot who Leeds weren’t bothered about . Wow

So a guy that nobody ad mentioned in the English media until a couple of days ago is now the second coming?

Sounds like two years ago at the other lot.

Sounds like a LOL.

Sounds like they could massively drop off.

We'll still not win at fucking Anfield though.

Up pops Miss Liverpool PR on Sly Sports News.
Reddy's dropped a couple of pearlers already, arrogantly saying that if Amorim is talking with the Hammers, then FSG did the right thing by dismissing him as his managerial ambition is beneath them.

Then today stating that Arnold Slotzenegger ticks "all" of Liverpool's key criteria without listing a single [mythical] criteria that he has supposedly met.

Pure PR fiction.

They listed it all in the Guardian:

Track record of improving young talent - i.e. when you run the players into the ground and they all get injured at once, and then you discover the famed "moneyball" recruitment has identified a lot of backup players who were cheap because they were crocks, can you play a few teenagers and talk about it as if it's the plan all along, and then ignore them again once everyone is fit.

Success on a relatively modest budget - I've covered this in a previous post, but essentially it's pretending one of the richest clubs in the world is run on a shoestring.

European experience - must be able to talk about European Royalty™ and the "under the lights at Anfield" even when you're getting beaten in a shit European competition. Losing a European final, in the great Klopp tradition, is a bonus.

A style of play that is not a dramatic departure from Klopp’s - Do you understand kick and rush footy?
