A tense game.

Away fans and solid City made the City Ground our City ground.

Uttermost credit to our back line, even with a couple of Wood & Walker brainfarts, Ederson/Ortega, Gvardiol, Akanji and Aké were inmense. Not so our middle, sometimes overwhelmed by the Forest pressure, mostly Bernardo and Doku. But still our quality prevailed, and they were running on empty once we regained control.

Three points in the bag and after the Wolves, four games against Lahndahn sides, beat all of them and we will add a couple more pieces of metal to our cabinet.

This means four, so much four.

It's been like a sodding curse being raised to support this lot. A nice one though ;-) Honestly...wouldn't change a thing because the lows made this time even sweeter, but I'm not afraid of losing again. That's because we know this club IS the only club worth it.

A really good win against a tactically well prepared team of physical power.
Ake and Josko were the standouts, for me, and the TV selection of KDB as MOM was not justified, in my view. Walker and Bernardo did not have good games, though the latter improved as time went on. The opponent pushing Doku back exposed him, and Walker, and Pep's substitutions were excellent, and timely. On we go.

Ortega is far too good to be a No 2 keeper. I reckon he'll be gone in the summer and good luck to him if that's what happens

Me too, had to endure it on 5live as I was stuck in work, I think I died every attack they had, we seemed to have little control, until the second goal, unusual for us, but job done, and another clean sheet, 2 in 4 days, scored from a corner too.

HUGE result today. Spuds away is looking more and more like the decider. By then we need Villa to be 6+ points clear of them, ie nothing on the game for Spuds, so a win makes no difference. There will be lots of empty seats at WHL and the Spuds who do turn up will be strangely subdued. WHU at home for the last game, maybe just maybe that despicable snake Masters will have a job to do after the match.....

It’s because Haaland as presence moved the forest defence back 15 yards

Kovacic was on before and we was still under pressure

Once Haaland come on the midfield now had space to operate and Kovacic was instrumental in us ticking the ball over

And Haaland came back at least three times to collect the ball and feed teammates
