When WE can hear what they are saying it will work... until then : (
I do wonder if the referees would rather not give it and be sent over to change their mind, as opposed to giving it and being sent over to change their minds?
The first involves ‘not being certain’, the second involves getting it wrong..
In my many years of going to football, I’ve never really had a problem with referees not giving things, it’s when they give (gave) things that haven’t happened I get a bit antsy. In the second case, they can only be guessing, which they should never do.I would be of that opinion but i recall refs/officials not seeing the most blatant decisions ever like this long before VAR.
Hence.... VAR was introduced
Tomiyasu very deliberately blocked the shot, he moves into the ball to block it.Neither were deliberate plays of the ball, so aren’t factored in for offside decisions.
Your nearly right the first one is trying to clear it and it hits the other arsenal player if he’s not affecting the game and offside ( meaning goal stands ) then why is he on the pitch ..Neither were deliberate plays of the ball, so aren’t factored in for offside decisions.
Well he clearly got the ball- in fact he got both of them
A block is not deemed a deliberate play of the ball.Tomiyasu very deliberately blocked the shot, he moves into the ball to block it.
Even if it’s a deliberate block of the ball?A block is not deemed a deliberate play of the ball.
The laws of the game say that an attempted block or a ricochet are not deliberate plays of the ball and aren’t factored in when offsides are considered.Your nearly right the first one is trying to clear it and it hits the other arsenal player if he’s not affecting the game and offside ( meaning goal stands ) then why is he on the pitch ..
Yes, the same as keeper saves.Even if it’s a deliberate block of the ball?
Cheers, makes sense then.Yes, the same as keeper saves.
You were quck here with an example of var , as usual , lol. You should be asking what is pigmol doing , they have fucked up the whole game from top to bottom
No worries. It is open to what are actually deliberate plays though, but it tends to be when a defender has tried to semi-pass a block, so it’s not always black and white.Cheers, makes sense then.
An attempted block is not deliberate then what is it,the incident reminds me of that rashford run when ratface scored they affected the play in the game, same as the Arsenal lad ..The laws of the game say that an attempted block or a ricochet are not deliberate plays of the ball and aren’t factored in when offsides are considered.
In the same way that goalkeeper saves aren’t deliberate plays, even though they have deliberately tried to alter the ball’s path.
Precisely. The occasional 'victory' for VAR doesn't alter the fact that it is fundamentally flawed as a system. You were quck here with an example of var , as usual , lol. You should be asking what is pigmol doing , they have fucked up the whole game from top to bottom
Because he knows he doesn't have to. They just wait for their safety net of of subjective bias to get involved.
It’s an attempted block, not an attempted pass. You might disagree with the law, but it’s how offsides work.An attempted block is not deliberate then what is it,the incident reminds me of that rashford run when ratface scored they affected the play in the game, same as the Arsenal lad ..
