They did the same for Martial a few years ago and look where they are now with that abomination, they used the excuse that by putting a hefty price tag on them after getting them to sign extensions with a lucrative contract that they were "Protecting their assets" whatever the fuck that means.

Saw this earlier. Some of these are hilarious. As if anyone's paying £93 million for Hojlund after his 8 league goals. Or Dalot valued at £61m, which I think would make him the most expensive full back of all time. £46m for McTominey. Even more ridiculous is £11m for Varane and Martial, who are both out of contract in a few games. But yeah, I'm sure they'd get £22m for them.

Having said that, you'd definitely get more than £18m for Shaw and more than £25m for Mount, despite his shit season. Clubs would gamble on him rediscovering something.
