Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

What a game to play shit but fortunately Spurs were on the beach. That said, well done lads we got the result. Short of an absolute calamitous performance on Sunday its 4 in a row :)
Spurs were on the beach were they.
That is shit and disrespectful to the boys who came through that.

This narrative is bananas. Foden has been very good all season, but tonight he was poor really. But he played a lovely pass over to doku to seal it. Proper team performance.
and won the ball back for the first goal. The simple things he does go uncredited.

Give over , Spuds pressed and ran their socks off and the only time we could relax was when Haaland scored the 90th minute penalty , and their manager was certainly up for it judging by his after match comments.
Maybe a bit more respect is due to our manager and players , who were calm and controlled against an aggressive Spuds team and got the job done , i didnt see a team on the beach ,i witnessed a team playing for Champs league football , dont mix up their subdued crowd and atmosphere with their teams considerable effort.

What noise did you make at this point ?

I was quite surprised at Ederson's reaction.
He was potentially concussed and may not have been as effective as Ortega proved to be in some very dangerous situations.
As I said before, subbing him was absolutely the correct decision.

If that surprised you, t's a good job you never saw Eric Nixon reaction to Ian Wright in 1987!

Wright was more than surprised!

The first half was down to how Spuds set themselves up. Two wide forwards and no central attacker hoping to pin our full-backs to their prime responsibility of defending. Think Josko in particular was staying back more than normal and that had an effect on the overloads we usually create further up the pitch. Great that we got the early goal in the 2nd half which helped to settle us down a bit. Well done to the medical team in advising that the sub needed to be made for Ederson. Definitely the right call and who knows how things would've gone if he'd stayed on.

Congrats to Kev for moving clear as 2nd in the all-time Premier League assists record.

I thought Romero is supposed to be utter shite, he had a stormer this evening. In the first half he intercepted/blocked everything.
He was pretty shit for our goal. He was favorite to win that ball. Foden did fantastically well but Romero should have won that or at least conceded a throw
