PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Apologies for going slightly off piste but just wondered what others thought about this conversation me and my brother had last week. We've all been so busy defending the allegations that nobody has really discussed how we should feel if we are found guilty.

Like most of you on here I seriously doubt that our owners would commit such a wide range of fraudulent acts when we really never needed to and I believe we have no reason not to trust Khaldoon when he says we have irrefutable evidence to prove our innocence but just playing devils advocate for a moment...

If we were found guilty and it all comes out that the allegations were true and it was proved beyond all doubt that our owners used tactics to circumnavigate/break the rules to gain a sporting advantage - how would you feel about our owners after such a judgement and would you just forgive them for tarnishing our clubs name because we won some (well quite a lot) of trophies?

Would any of you be angry with our owners for taking the club we have loved all our lives and dragging it through the mud for commercial gain and leaving us as fans to deal with the shit show it leaves behind (as we are now)? I feel there would never be any coming back from it as every success from here on out would just be met with the old 115 cheat tag from rivals a they are doing now before our case has even been heard. It would almost be like - what's the point anymore, we were better off without the success but our integrity in-tact.

If the owners brought that upon us I just don't know how I would feel about it all. I think it would be fair to be very angry with them.

I don’t think it can be proven either way but if they had done what we’ve been accused of, I’d be livid tbh as it would have been all completely unnecessary and of no benefit to us, the benefit would have been to the sponsors.

Bet the Premier League won’t be carrying out an investigation when the dippers sell 32 year old Salah for £100m and the rags 64 year old Casemiro for £50m!
If the Saudis give either of those 2 clubs big money for any of their cast offs, then they are fucking retarded, given their interest in Newcastle.

The Saudis are dumb and blind when it’s comes to MBS rubbish ideology. They will pay stupid money to draw some attention.

He grew up in a Palace envious of everything that happens in America

There is a very good chance this will be concluded in the closed season, to do so now takes the eye off the product they sell, I have no doubt that the club will be exonerated, it’s just a matter off how the PL climbs down the hill they are stuck on, they need a way out, the whole FFP debacle has been a disaster from start to finish, and it proved to many that the industry can not police itself
It never seemed remotely likely that there would be a settlement before the season ended. They would obviously want to wait until Forest and Everton had secured safety from relegation. Or, if they were relegated, to leave a few weeks before announcing a settlement. Announcing a settlement just as Everton or Forest were relegated would have been ridiculous.

I have no idea if there will be a settlement, but if there is the time to announce it would be between the end of the season and the start of the Euros.

It will be the last paragraph in Masters’ resignation announcement.

Turned out to be bollocks?
Well given the scandalous reporting of 115 has gone off the scale in the last 2 weeks - especially on broadcasters our ITKs told us had received legal ‘cease and desist’ letters, it’s pretty safe to assume that was a load of bollocks.

We were told Talksport had been legally warned - the following day we were being called Lance Armstrong live on air.

Belt up blues! The vultures are all out today regards the 115 charges!! Shock, bitter!!

Where is there any evidence of a close season settlement ? Where has any idea of a settlement come from other than a few guesses on here.

Whilst this would be fantastic it’s complete wishful thinking and goes against everything the PL have indicated to the journalists they leak info to.

I cannot believe the PL would still be saying via the usual outlets there is an Autumn hearing and announcement next year when they are in secret settlement discussions for the Summer.

I’m pretty confident we will be cleared of most charges but don’t believe this is not going to end up being heard as planned in the Autumn.

We currently being engulfed in a tsunami of negative coverage with another potential double being completely discredited with hundreds of 115 articles - why would we take that on the chin if we are being cleared ?

do you try to live upto your name on here ?,you're a miserable ****, everytime i read one of your posts you're whinging about something or slagging the club off, shut the fuck up.

I’d like to put on record that I’m still giddy ;)
I was giddy after Fulham last Saturday and the giddiness went into overdrive after our win at Spurs.
I believe my giddiness levels will reach a new maximum if we win on Sunday without the traumas of QPR, Villa or the last five minutes in Istanbul. - I mention those games as the trauma seriously hampered my giddiness producing gland.

It’s an educated guess really by just looking at the politics of it all, some of the stuff on here comes from people with close connections with the club, so don’t discount it all

Cease and desist is not something you use to stop fair comment there are some basics of free speech, it will never stop the discussion of 115 but will stop the cheat narrative that was sneaking in to some news outlets

And it’s never going to stop the click baiters or other fans

IF there is a settlement I would have thought they'd announce it during the euros when everyone had that to distract them

I may have fallen for the bollocks of settlements and cease and desist letters, but I genuinely believe the PL wouldn't want us to be exonerated during the season especially if other clubs had been docked points, irrespective of those deductions being for different charges.
I also believe settlement, if it happens within a couple of weeks, would benefit all parties as the Euros might take some media attention allowing the piss to merely simmer over the summer rather than boil as it would otherwise.
Finally, if all goes well on Sunday, our sixth PL title in seven seasons will show the PL has been a farce of a competition for almost a decade which will hardly look good for future broadcast deals if we're found guilty.

So likening us to Lance Armstrong is free speech is it ?

I would have thought legal letters ( if they had been sent ) were supposed to stop that kind of libellous comment.

I'd want to see the evidence before directing my anger. If this has been instigated by the usual suspects then I'd be angry at those suspects and at the spineless bastards at the Premier League who are simply puppets for the cartel clubs.
I'd only be angry at City's owners and senior management if the rules were fairly introduced, fairly implemented and we knew we were sailing close to the wind. But I was at Southampton when Jesus secured 100 points, and at Brighton 12 months later when we came from a goal down to win 4-1 and make Scousers cry, and at the Etihad when we collected the trophy and beat Everton 5-0 as football returned after covid, and 12 months later when we came from two down to beat Villa, and last season when we picked up the trophy with a couple of games to go. - And I'll be there on Sunday when we play West Ham.
I was also there for the four League Cup finals under Pep and the FA Cup finals and the CL finals. And for most games under Mancini and Pellers. - They can't take away my memories whatever the outcome of this witch-hunt.
And I've renewed my ST so I'm stuck with the buggers anyway.

Was that broadcast or printed? And of course it would only apply to those who had received it, again it’s not about stopping discussion of this but attempting to stop the cheating narrative, I don’t know if they sent them however the cheating narrative does appear to have stopped

Our owner & Khaldoon operate at an entirely different level to just running a football club. They deal with governments globally and control businesses with multi billions in turnover. They aren't sensitive souls and they certainly won't be taking all the shit thrown at us to heart. It's business and it's a dirty game. I don't expect they will have accounts on here to post raging comments about the media and rival clubs fans.

I think they are happy for it to all play out in whatever timeframe it takes as they are confident we will prevail. Frustrating but that's how it is.
