PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The issue with Mancini is the club were negotiating (and facilitating payment) on behalf of Al Jazira if the emails are true.
Arguably that would still fall outside of 'its' (the club's) contracts with the manager.

If it can be proven City did indeed orchestrate the entire thing, and simply funnel payments through Al Jazeera then, that's another matter - in which case the outgoing monies FROM City should be on the books.

If ADUG paid it, then the situation is murkier, as a parent company could legitimately pay a person to perform two roles, one for Subsidiary A (City) and one for Subsidiary B (not City), and City legitimately claim 'ITS' contract with the manager is singular, and even in the knowledge of the existence of the other contract, still deem it irrelevant and not have access to the details.

The case isn't going to be dropped, that's just City twitter making stuff up.

I'll trust Stephan that a decision won't be given until 2025.
No way will the lid be kept down on this cauldron of boiling piss until 2025 - not a chance.
Stefan’s timescale comment allowed for the full completion of the appeals process following the panel hearing with the assumption that losing side would certainly appeal.
I would not be surprised if the panel hearing is dropped and the issues resolved over the Summer. Otherwise a decision will come soon after the hearing, fuller details to follow later - such is the level of Public, Political and Professional interest in the dispute.

I thought it was part of the story how we disrespected Hughes that Mancini had been already consulting in the UAE.

On behalf of Manchester City Football Club, its fans, stakeholders and partners, I would like to express our position on this important matter and clarify that for the avoidance of doubt, Mark Hughes is useless rag ****.

The hearing hasn't happened yet so there have been no hard arguments.

No indication at all that anything will happen this summer. It's likely that the hearing is in Autumn and the decision in 2025.

Read somewhere yesterday, maybe Orstein, that they're only just preparing witness statements.
We'll see, I suppose. One way or the other.

I still think all of this will get binned off in the off season, using the Euros as cover to turn it into chip paper as quickly as feasibly possible.
It would make sense for it to wrapped up in our favour in the close season (I've got my doubts about that) but the Euros wouldn't be the slightest distraction. Whichever way it goes this will be huge for a long time.

The most amusing thing for me is that people who laughed 15 years ago when they heard of City's plans to dominate are now crying about how unfair it all is.

I really REALLY enjoy that aspect of it all.
First they said money doesn't buy success, you can't buy class , you've got no history , now we're making history every season smashing long standing records along the way and as you said now it's unfair and no-one can compete with Pep , let's not forget they all said along with the media that Peps tactics wouldn't work in the Prem , now from the Prem to the national league Pep has changed the way football is played and viewed in this country , and let's not forget the media and rags telling us all that mourinho when he took over at the swamp had the edge over Pep due to his vast Prem experience

And a rabid dipper fan to boot.
A total **** from start to finish.

Rob ‘weaselly’ Beasley and Paul Smifff (with 3 ‘f’s). I can still hear their sneering voices…..
”£200k a week for Ya Ya Toure? Jose wouldn’t pay that!”
Pair of absolute cnuts
Paul Smith "they'll win nothing under Mancini". A few months later, Mancini guides City to a FA Cup win, Smith disappears into obscurity.

Alan Green, the fat opinionated racist Irish twat who once commentated on Sun Jihai as "Number 17, that'll be the chicken chow mein then". Nothing done about that by his employers the BBC.

Also said when the takeover was done " City are going for Kaka and Messi? More like there going for Lala and Yessi".

Miserable **** who only had one point of view when commentating and that was his own self important, overinflated one.
Iirc he was expecting a fellow commentators/journalists shindig as he left the bbc, but no one wanted to go, so it was cancelled.
