Of course we don't force them. However, when negotiating an extension, one is free to casually mention it as perhaps impinging on their domestic availability.
A yes for me...Calafiori?
Sound like a criminal gangScalvini or Bastoni...
We'll have to beg to differ. Guardiola's demeanour after Walker and Stones were injured on last international duty suggests something different to me. Would have liked to have seen both fully fit for the games against Real Madrid and Arsenal, but we can't turn back the clock.I still think there's not even casual mention about it, our club will never denied for it's player to chance to represent their national side under any circumstances except of course major injury happened before national team selection announcement.
Bayern after Johnny Stones apparently - 'very unhappy' at lack of game time
Easy...Sound like a criminal gang
This might upset a blue in Eccles, but if you could get Branthwaite in the squad for the same money as we sold a certain Johnny Stones, would it be prudent business? We'll have to beg to differ. I might be wrong, often am, but I'm anticipating a spate of retirals from international football after this summer.

I wouldn’t have strong feelings either way. Would you extend his contract next summer? The transfer or upsetting Eccles?
Neither, I would imagine. As I’ve mentioned, Stones’ career has followed a common pattern, so next season he’s due a good one. Now, a straight swop for Eric Dier, on the other hand…

Frimpong, Doku, and Savio in the same 11 would never happen as it stands. We would give away the ball too much, and it would leave us very vulnerable defensively. We need more control & defensive steel.
I think we need to distinguish between those players in their salad days and men in the autumn of their careers (Walker, Stones, de Bruyne). We’re not going to force them, but if they continue to insist on going on international duty, return injured, and then find themselves benched and unable to get back in the team, then they shouldn’t be unhappy with their lot.Guardiola might have his opinion about it but i think he knows that kind decision will be unpopular if the rest of players in team know about it.
Almost all player in our team (not counting english player) is very proud to represent their national team, it will be very unpopular decision to force the player not going to represent their country.
While we talking about it, how about telling to Haaland face that he should retire from national team early because his NT team suck and will never be amount of anything at international stage.

As I said above, I’d add a year to it now, takes him up to 33, but encourage him to think about what he can do to ensure he’s still playing in 26-27.I wouldn’t have strong feelings either way. Would you extend his contract next summer?
Wait, someone is proposing that!? Dier is nowhere near our level. Bang average player at best, nowhere near our level. The transfer or upsetting Eccles?

Sir, I will have you know that Eric Dier is the Phiilip David Charles Collins LVO of football. He's not good enough. Pffffft.Wait, someone is proposing that!? Dier is nowhere near our level. Bang average player at best, nowhere near our level.
Keep Stonesy here instead. Buy a young CB to ease him in as a future Stones replacement.
If he's fit he plays regularly - except in the last 8 months of the season when Pep tends to stick with a core team selection. - That's the only reason he hasn't played.Kompany has always really rated stones, too.
On nedum's podcast whilst he was still at Anderlecht he included him in his 5 aside of the best players he's ever played with and went on a tangent about how good he is.
Doubt he'll leave (nor do I want him to), but with kompany headed there I tend to think this isn't without some merit.
