I hope it's notWhat? That can't be true surely.
How did we dip in the two finals after that?I though the 'big celebrations' were a mistake last Sunday. I've been saying it at work all week.
I know the argument is the players need to celebrate, but mentally you lose that 1or2% that's needed. It's like 'job done, season over'. We did it after Chelsea last season and drew with Brighton and lost at Brentford (with a much changed team I know).
No, we don't expect a dozen incidents of hari kari on the pitch but they should not be cracking a smile until they get the medal, and then that's a begrudging one.Images of a few players laughing at the end really smarts.
Not what I expected from this squad.
Glad I don't go out drinking with you guys so.The United fan in the grey tshirt is a good mate of mine.
It can be both. Said at the time I didn't agree with the Stones selection. Completely bizarre when he hasn't really featured recently and sticks him in for a cup final. Has a habit of strange selections, wasn't a patch on the Porto game though in that regard.
I run pretty much every day and know how much alcohol fucks up performance. After a decent drink my resting heart rate will go from low to mid 40s to almost double that the next day. They're far from negligible numbers. You don't really get any sleep even though you think you have. Next to no REM, deep sleep etc. Takes ages to get it out of your system entirely and if they did continue until midweek as has been suggested on here it's not a probability it effected performance it's a certainty. Ironically i described the way they played after the game like they were hungover in that first half- nervous and riddled with anxiety. Sounds like it could actually have been the case and we've effectively gifted those cunts a trophy.
Beyond mad. Bet we weren't on the piss in between trophies last year.
Whilst I agree with you in that some traditions are holding the country back I do feel the FA cup is a special competition. Every team has a chance to win it (theoretically at least) and it involves all those from the football pyramid. Most of us don't bother watching any of the earlier rounds but to the clubs involved in those games they are important, clearly not to win the competition for some but to progress as far as they can.Because it was basically the only game shown live, it was nostalgic romance.
The PL and CL are far , far better competitions.
Or he may have come charging out of the box and got injured or sent off. I call the keeper out for only 40% of the blame for that goal.Hope ederson doesn’t leave. No way they get that first goal if he’s there he would have read that better stayed back and collected the header from josko. And he saves the second for me
I can't even work out who the fuck is who on that
I can't stand losing to anyone, at anything, anywhere, but the knowledge of having won so much over the last nigh on fifteen years makes the loss a lot less painful. We know that they were statistically battered, we had a couple of our illuminati not quite on their game, and it was clearly our turn for the leg-up to match the Rag's pen last year and it never came, not even when ScoobyDoo morphed into Jackie Pallo on Erling. Those fouls that are serially ignored in the area are ten a penny outside. But this one win doesn't obliterate the 2012 Semi nor the 1-6, neither does it wipe clean the batterings we've given them over that time. Mind, they'll be thinking that now Scruffy Jim, Omar, 'n the tapped-up guy from NUFC arrive it will be their pivotal moment. One win, the RDAHMeedya go into over-drive and it's a laugh a second, never mind a minute. Has Ted Rag been sacked yet? I bet they'll ask him for his medal back as well, claiming it's Rag property.I’ve coped with losing so much better recent years. However I can’t stand losing to those fuckers.

I fail to see why we have to have 'abide with me' and the bloody national anthem before the kick off, I feel that is a throw back to a bygone era, the days when as you say it was on the tele all day and there wasn't much else to do.
I was in the pub on the corner with City fans, utd outside Wetherspoons. Started with lots of chanting then a pint pot got chucked over at the utd fans, some utd lads came over to have a word with this City group and went back. City mob then start walking down the high street utd mob do the same, cue the fighting in the road. City brought the scrap on so the guy flat out only had himself to blame. Not great to witness but it was stupid to allocate both teams a pub virtually opposite each other, and no coppers anywhere to be seenThe United fan in the grey tshirt is a good mate of mine.
