City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

What do people make of the concept of the PL having a "conflict of interest" in terms of sponsorship ? I wonder if the PL has approached the same potential sponsors as City or whether the argument is that the concept of a PL as some sort of neutral co-operative is completely wrong and that it is simply a group of clubs all vying for the same pool of sponsors which, on that basis, can never be trusted to act in good faith with respect to an individual shareholder. I'd love to see the submissions.

Believe it or not but I am not having a pop at the rags with this comment but.....

Their last two deals with Chevrolet and Teamviewer were for huge sums, and resulted in the former with the resignation/dismissal of the person responsible and with the latter early termination.

Not the rags problem that companies put ridiculous propositions to them but how would that fair in a true market value investigation?

They dropped the title sponsor as it could conflict with clubs so already they have acknowledged that it exists

Brilliant.

Guilty, apologies.

For no reason whatsoever Macca appears to be a Male nickname!

I've thought this before and believe it's because blokes will have and use nicknames for mates for life whereas women don't generally.

Tell that to Tits Out Jackie.

What is “it”? Give us a ref for this game changer.!!
Lot's of confusion about it that's why I said IF it's true it's a game changer and we have a very good chance of winning.

If we win this case we go back to the rules as they were, and the narrative that we would get some crazy amounts from UAE sponsors is utter noise and bullshit

Another 'hot news' item just in - Red Bull Racing has had it's F1 cars confiscated by the governing body FIA, for being TOO successful!
Yep, City became TOO successful - can't have that. That was City's big mistake, should have been happy with just being a mid table Manchester club!
Well there is a club on the outskirts of Manchester who are filling that role rather nicely......
