I don't expect open racists and bigots to be given unlimited air time as he was, same I don't want religous zealots that spout bile from any faith given exposure tovthe detrement of society

Moving on, the ‘creeping Shariah law’ claim dates back to some misreported comments made by the previous Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. Shariah law, in fact, has no traction in UK law. None whatsoever. Those Shariah courts that do exist are designed to help mediate between and counsel those who might, for example, be thinking of divorcing or getting one. But any decisions made are advisory and not binding in English law.

Additionally, although Islamists (like affiliates of the now proscribed organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir) and Salafi-Jihadists (like ISIS) favour a Caliphate and the introduction of a harsh version of Shariah, and Islamism is a problem in the UK (if you read the publications of former Islamists Ed Husain and Maajid Nawaz), their views are not representative of all Muslims. Surveys with carefully calibrated questions in fact reveal that many (if not most) Muslims favour democracy, and that most are culturally conservative but politically liberal. For a review of the data which shows this, see especially, Charles Kurzman's The Missing Martyrs: Why There Are So Few Muslim Terrorists. There is a section in it in which the author specifically addresses the advocacy of Shariah among Muslims that some surveys claim to have uncovered. It turns out that it's not that simple and a lot depends on how the questions in the survey are framed. However, the relevant passage is too long for me to type out.

no I am not, I am saying a racist **** who is just grifting the public for his own gain and causing unecessary division should be getting the same type of exposure as any other fringe party.

UKIP then and reform now are no more worthy than the worlers party or monster raving looney party of air time, the tweed twat was given a platform never seen before for a fringe party leader and seen since, same like they wheel out that cock galloway.

Reform are polling more than the Lib Dem’s and greens. You may not like their policies but to call them fringe is absurd.

We are not talking about todays poling but my comment that unusual plataforming of farage for the last near 2 decades as UKIP leader and then a reform member is why they are in the position, it is unprecidented that a fringe party as both were have been given the exposure by our main news outlets seen lacking for greens and tbf the lib dems.

Those parties don't promise things as unrealistic or more unhinged than the monster raving looney parties though do they?

Hard to attract viewers with reducing carbon emissions and localism. Much easier to have loons talk about 15 minute cities and Eurabia.

They also don't pack out venues with boisterous crowds of tattooed middle aged men drinking Carling.

When they stopped being a fringe party they got airtime. Never before.

Remember when Relax was banned? it went to number 1. Just let him carry on. All he will do is split voters on the right - which has always been the lefts’ problem. Anyone right of centre only had the tories to vote for whereas anyone left had Lib Dem’s, Labour, and greens

lib dems have never been an option for anyone left, they are of opposite ideologies

I'm guessing this probably stems from your misunderstanding of what liberal means.

The lib dems have been historically centre right economically and left of centre on social issues.

They aren't a left-wing party. People on the left vote lib dems for tactical reasons depending on where they live. That's probably about it.

They probably misunderstand what's meant by left, the point that not many if any lefties vote Tory was the point and the point stands.
