Any news if the 2 guys he went to the accommodation with have been spoken to by the police?

My guess is the police are pissed off by how big a deal it’s become due to the media pressure and sheer amount of interest it’s causing. There would have been two Policia local driving around for an hour the day after and then called it quits had it not garnered this much attention.
They know it’s a waste of time, resources and money.

Disagree to be honest
Been several times, last year on my own and going again on my own in September.
Long as your sensible and cautious it's a great place.
Feels much more vulnerable in Manchester to be honest.
