Moreover, I just can't see that Israel's invasion of Palestine is politically sustainable. I expect that the war will end within the next few months, which will render this issue - as important as it is - irrelevant in context of the upcoming presidential election (it's a horrific tragedy nonetheless).

Does Biden even have to commit to the debates?

Doesn't even make sense that he goes in when his stammer is now more vulnerable due to his age. It's clearly not dementia just that he's less resilient. If it was he wouldn't have been able to respond to Trump so clearly on the abortion point.



Trump can ramble about nonsense on a random tangent and Biden's stammer is what jumps out.

Exactly! It's just a cold. He could have just said no debates. And take care of the cold.


The stammer isn't even that bad. Trump is clearly the one in 'REAL' mental decline. Biden's team really need to get him a speech therapist. Just a little caork and he'll sound as sharp as he really is.
 
Two aging clowns in decline, but only one passed any kind of muster.

The format actually benefited Trump who, without a crowd to tell his stories, was forced to be a little more focused. With a crowd, he would have been more insufferable with his rants, so the Dems tactics backfired here.

Both of these guys lied about quite a few things; Trump with his over exaggerations on achievements, but Biden also with not accepting positions Trump put him in.

If Trump hadn't have over egged the pudding, this debate would have been a resounding victory, cos all he had to do was rein it in. Biden rambled, became cogent, mumbled, became wild eyed, grinned like a maniac and then drifted off mid sentence. Mocked Trump for being convicted and laid the door open for Trump's retort on his son being in the same boat.

What a dumb debate, but it was historic in watching a sitting Pres crumble in stature before the world.

The Biden campaign were the ones that called for the debate. They didn't have to.
