I disagree but see what he is like after a full season at Palace. Kalvin Phillips is still fresh in my mind.
Yeah but you were also dead against Gvardiol and Haaland joining so maybe focus on them instead.

He isn't an eye catching player and a total of 16 top flight games isn't a good point in signing any player. Not many clubs were banging on Blackburn's door. That makes literally zero sense. 10 games isn't the yardstick yet you are sticking by him being mediocre...based on what? His 10 games? His England cameo? 'If he was still at Blackburn he wouldn't get a mention' - he's not though, he was bought by Palace and has impressed in his time in the PL. McAtee definitely doesn't do close to the same role.
He's not the second coming of christ, would be a huge fee and would take a lot of adaptation to being in a Pep team - but he's far from mediocre.
Haaland I wasn't against but had geniune reservations with Gvardiol especially with the games he had played against him in his supposed natural position and his last pre-season game for RB Leipzig and his transfer fee. It took him the a while to really click.Yeah but you were also dead against Gvardiol and Haaland joining so maybe focus on them instead.
Haaland I wasn't
I was joking and not against the signing. Gvardiol I did have reservations. I wasn't too keen on Grealish but his off the field work with the disabled supporters have won me over on that aspect.Don't make me dig out your quotes from the Haaland thread again.
I refuse to believe you've forgotten about this.
Hard to say given the quiet window and the interminable end of season competitions. I think the main question is who is leaving and will they tell us in enough time to replace?Who is available?
gives bigger chance of Kimmich leavingPalihina is a decent signing for Bayern. Mediocre on the ball who at times is ill disciplined but a tough defender.
Hopefully he doesn't end up in Merseyside (although their last two signings from Bayerb haven't worked out)gives bigger chance of Kimmich leaving
Agree, calling KP bang average is awfully generous of you. I'll admit I was one of those thinking "he can't possibly be this bad?" "Let's wait and see." I just think it came down to him not having the mental makeup required to play here. He displayed zero confidence and wasted the opportunity every time he was given a chance. I eventually couldn't watch him on the pitch anymore. Like post injury Mendy and the last 18 months at City for Raz he looked completely incompetent in our set up. Fella needs moving on ASAP...I am not really joking had alarms bells when we were linked and signed him but had to see what he could offer. Bang average is being generous.
£50 mill ! Try double that he’s the best keeper bar none when it comes to playing it out from the back and his pinpoint passing..Two years? Either way it’s ridiculous money isn’t it? I hope if Ederson goes we get at least £50m as he’s one of the best in the world and we go and sign Diogo Costa
He caught my eye within 5 minutes of watching him and I spent 15 years evaluating players at a decent level for what it's worth...just sayin'...and it appears he's caught the eye of quite a few others as well...He isn't an eye catching player and a total of 16 top flight games isn't a good point in signing any player. Not many clubs were banging on Blackburn's door.
Diogo has 65mil release clause, if we sell Eddie, then he should be main target. Two years? Either way it’s ridiculous money isn’t it? I hope if Ederson goes we get at least £50m as he’s one of the best in the world and we go and sign Diogo Costa
They don't give a fuck about his passing ability...they want the prestige of signing Manchester City's star goalkeeper...£50 mill ! Try double that he’s the best keeper bar none when it comes to playing it out from the back and his pinpoint passing..
