Yep, seems to be the flip side of looking after our players and why they stay as long as they do.
We will always try and make their departure as fair as possible even if it means losing a few quid along the way.

Yes Onana was three years younger when he signed for "The World's Greatest Club"™ than Ederson is now. No of course not. I am not arguing 'worth'. Just what I expect the club to accept. Like they did with Laporte, Mahrez, and other players they let go for a 'fair' value. I don't like it, but I think people are in for a big surprise with these expectations of 100m for KdB and 65m for Eddie.

I think Ederson's book value is about 3-4m. As much as I'd like him to go for £50m or some massive fee, it's probably likely it would get done between £30-40m as I'm sure City won't price him out.

Agreed, but ultimately I think there just isn't really anywhere appropriate for him to move to.

Clubs in Italy? Assuming they could afford it, it is really just a bit of a climate change, with less chance of winning things. In Spain, Real are stacked. Barcelona won't even pay 20m to keep Cancelo permanently. Psg? A bit boring. Bayern, maybe but going on the opposite direction to Portugal. Saudi, doesn't seem the type.

So it is stay, till ready to return to Portugal (something he has said a few times before) or squeeze in a contract at Barcelona before he returns, if they have any more levers left.
