Pep has said he told Palmer he would have a more prominent role in the team with Mahrez leaving and that he would get plenty of minutes but that was not enough for Palmer. And that’s fine, he gets to choose what is best for his career. Reports seem to indicate he wanted to be a regular starter and Pep couldn’t promise that.
