Always been a decent shot stopper. Not to be faulted on either goal. On distribution, he seems to be living in another age. Time and again, the ball went upfield to a red shirt, or actually out of play. As has often been said, we're completely spoilt by having a keeper with the skills of a midfielder, and a good one at that, and a second keeper who is actually not at all far behind him.
 
Fair do's to the players for getting to the final under the constraints of Southgate's tactics. At this level playing hoof ball wins you nowt.
Better team won tonight, no doubt about that IMHO.

I thought Walker was poor. Foden was poor all tournament bar one half but Stones was excellent.

Green's mistake vs US is right up their with worse mistakes I have seen whilst watching England. I am not suggesting Pickford is world class but he isn't the worst of England keepers either.
 
Once again, Southgate plays the occasion above anything else. He’s a glorified baby sitter, there for harmony than any real tactical nous and it shows.

That England team should be passing and moving, playing exciting, attacking football and instead they sit back and don’t have a clue on what they want/need to do going forward aside from moments of individual brilliance.

The sooner he’s out, the better for me. All well and good being a decent ‘tournament manager’ but only if you’re winning them (Deschamps) - not just settling for second best/competing.

The team is too good for that.

Take your blue tinted specs off, we know Phill is a good player, but for England he looks rudderless, light weight, and totally lacking, why? i have no idea but he has been largely garbage in an England shirt, and stop blaming the manager and the players around him great players always make things happen.
