Yeah but consider his competition, those 3 might go down as best 1 2 & 3 to ever play the game , he’s given them all plenty of tough games over the years, they all talk highly of him as well

I’m not evening thinking about anything he’s done in the olympics as I agree winning tennis gold doesn’t mean you’re the best at your sport

He’s got to be the greatest British tennis player 3 majors and 20 years at the top so you’d have to rank him against the best of British in remaining sports

For me despite how brilliant they are at what they do I couldn’t personally name a Golfer, F1 Driver, Darts player, snooker player and a few more as the greatest athlete

He is incredible, and he’s done it from a normal family in a sport that’s completely upper middle class at the highest level. Not arguing that he’s the best but top 10 easily. To be world number 1 for nearly a year when he was against Djokovic Federer and Nadal was amazing

Assigned sex is literally just what gets put on your birth certificate. Nothing to do with genetics.

Where do you think he is in the overall tennis World.
He was unfortunate not to have won more due to being around at the same time as Nadal, Federer and Djokovic but you could make that same argument for those 3 as well.
There are only 4 players to have won all 4 slam events but I think he is behind Borg, McEnroe Sampras and a few others.

I struggle with the elevating of sportsman because he/she is the flavour of the day mate.

The media always have a new beau lined up, for example Mbappe will go down as the best football player ever when he's not even in the top 20 in reality, smoking mirrors.

Yes I agree I’d put him behind them as well but still aware he probably had stiffer prolonged competition than them
But as it is I’d be guessing so I agree he’s behind those and the like of Becker Lendel Agassi Connors
