Mesmerising stuff watching the golf today, well done Tommy Fleetwood.
Surely you mean “hypnotic”, as in sleep-inducing? ;-)Mesmerising stuff watching the golf today, well done Tommy Fleetwood.
Yeah; mesmerising isn't a word that readily springs to mind when it comes to golf. Maybe in the Ryder Cup, particularly when Europe win!Surely you mean “hypnotic”, as in sleep-inducing? ;-)
Yeah you’d look fucking daft in it!Last day of the swimming; now Clare and Rebecca decide to dress somewhere near sensibly. The "dress combined with trainers" look, I'm not sure of!
Reckon GB News should have a panel about how Kenyans can improve their long distance running performance.Fascinating chat in the last 10 mins of the morning show on Eurosport, where the non-athletics panel were questioning why 100m runners don’t pay more attention to aerodynamics, just like cyclists do, bearing in mind the speeds they reach.
I think the last runner to give this serious attention was Freeman at the Sydney Olympics.
On the show there was mention of wearing swim caps, padded bras to help on the dip, and running in speedos. High quality insight that.
Golf… great to play, but boring to watch on tvSurely you mean “hypnotic”, as in sleep-inducing? ;-)
I would even question the accuracy of the first bit of your statement. ;-)Golf… great to play, but boring to watch on tv
Is that channel still on air? I’d expected it to be YouTube only at best by now.Reckon GB News should have a panel about how Kenyans can improve their long distance running performance.
Have never actually watched a second of their coverage live, only clips shared on here and by mates largely in disgust or taking the piss, but I understand they are essentially being wound up now, and are headed to a digital-only model in a far, far more limited capacity. Is that channel still on air? What's that old saying; "golf, a nice walk in the country. Ruined."I would even question the accuracy of the first bit of your statement. ;-)
I would honestly rather watch a decent shuffleboard or bocce game. And would definitely rather play them myself. What's that old saying; "golf, a nice walk in the country. Ruined."
I loved a weekly round of golf back in the dayI would even question the accuracy of the first bit of your statement. ;-)
I can’t do any sport now, but before things progressed as they have, I went golfing (full 18) three times over the course of 20 years and did not enjoy it any of the times. Perhaps my mind would have changed if I had gotten older but still had some mobility, but I think I just didn’t enjoy the inactivity and waiting. Now that I am forced in to inactivity, the last thing I want to do is watch others experiencing it.I loved a weekly round of golf back in the day
