Bol runs an awful lot in Europe, especially the Diamond League meetings, so we’re so familiar with seeing how good she is. To see her run as she did with no turbo in the last 80 metres or so just seemed so unusual.

If that’s the result who can blame her? Olympics and WR are all that are remembered down the years.

She's free to do whatever but I just don't think she's good for the sport. Like I said I love the sport so it shouldn't just be about showing up for the Olympics and then hiding for 4 years which is what she's done.

She tried to run 400m flat last year, realised it was too much so went back to her safe spot, she's raced at the US Trials and Olympics this year and that's it.

At a minimum she should be doing the 400m Hurdles and 400m double.
