Have we heard? Is he training? Has he been seen? Not by the train spotters but by genuine MANCHESTER CITY supporters?
I need to know. I also need to know if Mr Stones will play tomorrow. :-)

@RayCTID please do not bother answering this.... the real forum people know I am probably in the middle of a daft half hour. You just need to put me on ignore. Thank you.
I’m pretty certain that as soon as it goes through, the club's website and app will announce it.

Always dreamed of wearing their shirt
So, now he's worn it, he's got that out of his system and can come home. Hopefully he'll put an appearance in on Saturday even if he isn't in the squad.

The question is Ilkay coming back as cover or is he expecting to play a bigger part.Although he is still a highly intellegent player we have changed our dynamic since he left. He still wants to play regularly as he can I am not sure he can really sustain that in our setup. As it been mentioned the plus side it is a free.
Ilkay knows the score on Pep's rotation policy.

So, he went to Barcelona on a free, earned £20m last season, then comes back to us on a free.

Knowing Khaldoon's mastery of 3-D Chess, does anyone else think that he secretly signed a new contract with us at the end of the 2022/23 season, we paid him last season while he paid all his Barca salary over to us, and that this was just a cunning plan to get the money they owed us for Ferran Torres? Masterstroke if so.
Not sure it was a cunning plan but it certainly looks like things financially have fallen into place.

Still was a regular when he finished his City career the first time. A couple of years older with a different approach to our style. Not completely doubting him to adapt but it still going to time to fully adapt.

He was a great player. Maybe he can go on forever like Modric at Madrid. Barca obviously don't think he can.
Barca are broke. They need to reduce their wage bill and sell players asap just so they can register their new shiny toy Dani Olmo. Plus by all accounts they treated Gundogan pretty shitty. It's got nothing to do with Gundogans age or fitness

Barcelona fans generally seem unhappy with him leaving as one said he was their best player last season. Read he had the most chances created and was in team of the season but seems typical amateur hour at Barcelona with not paying monies owed, buying players they cannot register, wanting everything for nothing as they are skint then blaming his wages being a reason they are happy to let him go, the wages they gave him to join.
Very hard to take that club seriously anymore
Messi messed them up pardon the pun.
They bent over backwards for him and plunged themselves into so much debt just to keep him.
Any other club doing what they've done would be relegated or be in trouble, sounds a bit like the skintboats up the road from us.

Although La Liga isn't a slow league the Premier League is a little more physically demanding and quicker. Modric may not of lasted long as he did had he rejoined it.
