Tories seemed to be able to find barges to imprison migrants. Surely putting bars on the windows we get another prison?
Although the early release scheme, whereby prisoners were released 70 days early was on Sunak’s watch, it looks like going further with it, is part of the reason he ran away in July..I totally agree but the issue here is Starmer is releasing scrotes early, at least the others didn't do that.
Stayed on one of those "barges" on my first Falklands tour... Plenty good enough for HM Forces but not for a load of economic migrants... If I was genuinely desperate, fleeing persecution and had no income I'd be made up with a room on one... bars or no barsTories seemed to be able to find barges to imprison migrants. Are you sure about thatI totally agree but the issue here is Starmer is releasing scrotes early, at least the others didn't do that.
Tell me your misogynistic without actually saying the word mysogynistic
I stand corrected. Were they violent criminals who were released? Are you sure about that
Just shows what these Tories were all about, just another continuation of ensuring the country was left on its knees and in tatters.Although the early release scheme, whereby prisoners were released 70 days early was on Sunak’s watch, it looks like going further with it, is part of the reason he ran away in July..
Sir Mark Rowley, the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police; National Police Chief’s Council chair Gavin Stephens; and Rob Nixon, the NPCC’s lead for criminal justice, warned Sunak that failure to act before the election would increase the likelihood of police being unable to discharge their duties and public safety being compromised with an increased risk of riots and violent public order incidents (which was somewhat prescient).
They said he needed to take “immediate action to begin to address this crisis and mitigate its worse impacts”, warning that “simply waiting for a new government to be formed after the election means an unacceptable delay in mitigation”.

And anchor it out at sea, would need minimal security.Tories seemed to be able to find barges to imprison migrants. Surely putting bars on the windows we get another prison?
No ideaI stand corrected. Were they violent criminals who were released?
To be fair, there’s only 2 ways to not have early release. Send less people to prison or build more prison places. As I said, Starmer isn’t my cup of tea but I can’t hold him responsible for not building any more prisons, in the 2 months he’s been in charge. The point is that Labour are doing the same things as the Tories do, the red Tories aren't up in arms about it though.

Given the state of the prison estate, it could conceivably be both. The point I am making is that Timpson said that his aim is to send less people to prison, but his boss is wanting to build more prisons anyway.
I'd like to know which one it is?
What was that interview on that you were talking about earlier, the guy that got released after 14 months? As that’s the really worrying one and the more I look, definitely contrary to what they’ve publicly said what the proposal is.

Can you post that in the Tory thread because some posters don't like talking about the Labour party in here:)
I think it’s probably this one
