Did Fuertaventura for my honeymoon with the now ex-Mrs T about 30 years ago. It was ace. Stayed in Corralejo, which was tiny, but had everything you need. The rest of the island was deserted and was living on Mars for a week. Maybe it’s different nowadays.

Lanzarote for me. Had a superb week in Costa Teguise for new year. Amazing weather for the whole week. Plenty to do, cheap food and drink and four hour flight time. Been to Tenerife and Fuerteventura as well but Lanzarote edges it for me.

Was also there about the same time and yes, was like staying on Mars, very dry and windy, full of hippies and wind surfers. Would imagine it's well built up now and overflowing with swingers.

Off to PDC in Lanzarote next month. Never been to Lanzarote. With the wife and two teenagers. Was thinking of having a day out at Playa Blanca or Costa Taguise. Which one would you recommend?

Playa Blanca has a bit more to it. It’s in two parts, bit of a walk in between the town and the Marina. Get the 161 bus, it also goes through Puerto Calero which is very nice. I also walked it a few times the paths not great and every time I’ve mentioned since I get the death stare of the wife

Costa Teguise is ok been a few times for the day as usually a friend or a family member is there at the same time as us when we used to school holidays , thinks it’s the No.3 bus it goes through Arrecife.

Also the walk from PDC down to Los Poccilos & Matagora is very easy along the promenade

Playa Blanca. They have a market on Wed/Sat I think at the Marina so always worth going on those days as very lively around there.

Hi mate Tenerife for me
Been several times.
Last year I went to Costa Adeje which is on the south west part of the island.
I went on own but met so many people there.
Really loved it and going back in September.

So, we have ended up in Tenerife. Hadn't expected to have such a nice time. Good points; we found some great eating places, No55, Picamar, Genghis Khan, la Trattoria de Boccacini(?). Bad points; diving out of the way of so many lunatics on e-scooters and don't get me started on all the lazy tw@s on tandem mobility scooters, bloody loads of them.

Where in Tenerife are you and are you in a hotel or apartment?
