It's not, but unfortunately these things happen - not much anyone could have done about any of them.

People are so defeatist pep will find a way around it kova and gundo will have to fill the void. Remember when gundo had to fill in for fernandinho last 16 games of the season people threw in the towel. We won all 16 games I think and completed a domestic treble. We are a squad of world class players 1 player doesn't define our season.

Gundo is 34. He doesn’t have that in him now, let’s be realistic. And we still have over 60 more games to play.

Taking Rodri out of a midfield that already has a few players that are incapable of playing every 3 days (Gundo and KDB) is a disaster. There isn’t a silver lining here. Kovacic has to be flogged now and he isn’t robust enough for it.

A direct replacement does not exist. The position is about reading the game. Gundog is the closest and we will probably need to play kovo also or another.
This may sound a bit out there but I reckon Grealish would do a job there.
He is strong, reads the game, Iv seen him collect the ball from centre backs. Does not really get enough goal involvements anyway.
Bit of guidance from pep and I think he would do a job.

We won our 1st three games without Rodders, pep will tweak it and maybe change it up a bit.
We got anyone along the back 4 who could do the Rodri role, obviously not as good but we got players who can play there.
