Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

He's playing from a pretty deep position here. If Pep can coach him up and let him learn from his mistakes, his athleticism can bring something really different to our midfield, which I believe we are missing currently.

Trouble is he hasn't really kicked on from then. I remember his performance against us and he looked ready made for the top level but hasn't seemed to improve at his time at wolves or with us. It's an option, and he is the most logical replacement on paper having played a similar role early in his career but I would expect we just play Kovacic.

I assume people are “merrily” writing off our season but get a spine if you are playing the amoeba. City can still have a successful season despite injury to the world’s current best player.

I think the awful spell City had when Rodri was missing last season has warped perspectives on what City are capable of without him.

Hopefully the club will go out and buy a top class midfielder in January to help fill the gap but there are so many options for Pep to use, depending on the opposition. Stones and Rico may become very important players in next three months.

City must not let Arsenal prosper form their crime and the motivation of City’s players will be higher than ever.

Kovacic can easily fill the position imo. But I would also like to see one of the youth team break through and dominate. Either way the depth and tactical knowledge of pep leaves me in concerned. Yes we will lose a match or 2 but it would be arrogant to assume we win every match even with our best starting 11.
Kovacic is prone to niggles though. Maybe Gundo can step in there sometimes, maybe Stones...none ideal but hopefully they can cover between them

So who’s putting excess strain on your managers brain shutting up shop leading 2-1? Pep would have had a go , unlike that boring shite stain of a manager you’ve got telling his players to go down at any excuse , we live in your heads don’t we , with your faux rivalry ? Where has your club been for that past 20 seasons , your fanbase is what it is , I remember us tearing you a new arsehole a few seasons back when Sane tore you one , a good 10’000 empty seats that night, stick to spurs mate , it’s far far more your level as a rivalry
25,000 empty seats more like it. There were only us, the stewards and the icicles by half time. Absolute joke of a fan base.

Let's be fair; he's yet to be given an opportunity here to kick on. He played better than people give him credit for last season. He came on versus West Ham, made an immediate impact, and hasn't touched the pitch since. I'm sure Pep has his reasons, but it's almost impossible to get any momentum built when you're not playing consistently.

3-4-3 with Savio/Doku wingback it is. lets go.

Foden Haaland KDB
Savio Nunes Gundo Doku
Gvardiol Dias Stones
Ederson

like it. lol.

Can't believe all the doom merchants on here we have lost one player admittedly one of the best in the world .but we have plenty of options and some great prospects in the youth team

I just think it transcends more than just City's season and how it could impact it, but it's also the welfare of the person involved and how he must be feeling.
