President Trump

If Kamala will accept a debate by a neutral party, I'm sure Trump will do it.

The problem is that Kamala will only do a stacked debate.

She was better than Trump in he last debate. But that's partly because she was being unfairly sided by the mods and her bar was outdoing Biden's performance. Which she easily scaled. That said, Trump was poor. There were so many easy gimme's he missed.

What was the lie? I could be wrong but I think he is right that she was never corrected or fact checked once and he was multiple times. Maybe not 9. Wouldn't that just be an exaggeration rather than a lie?
It is a ridiculous rewrite of reality to suggest Harris somehow had the debate stacked in her favor!

It was a “make or break” moment for her and she came prepared and ready to be who she is. The fact that your narrative is that it was stacked speaks to YOUR bias, not that of the moderators.

There were MULTIPLE times where Trump continued a point after the moderators were ready to move on, and they simply unmuted his mic so he could make the last point, get in the last jab, and try to leave a Trumpian final impression of the issue under discussion.

As I said on here while they were debating, even attempting to be an adult in a debate with Trump is to cede points to him. The number of times he got in the last word, when the moderators wanted to move on, was infuriating and did, indeed, tilt the field…albeit in his favor.

Trump’s biggest debate and rally problem is that he actually believes he’s some kind of “stream of consciousness” genius! He can clearly afford the most time and best assistance to prepare for a debate, but beyond the 5 or 6 talking points he has been told to repeat ad nauseum, his rhetoric is wall to wall grievance of his supposed mistreatment or lack of understanding of his genius. He is, to put it plainly, delusional.

Years of getting his own way, through the force of intimidation, backed by the money required to follow through with it, has created a bubble in which he lives. No-one can say “No” to him or they’re summarily dispensed with (see Cabinet members and lifetime National Security experts and Four Star Generals!).

He believes he’s the smartest man in every room he enters, when most people in the room already know he’s one of the dumbest, from the perspective of actual, functional knowledge of the substantive topics under discussion in high level meetings.

In Harris, on a nationally televised debate, it quickly became clear that not only was he completely out of his depth intellectually, but of the four people present on camera, he was, by leaps and bounds, not only the least prepared of the four, but least knowledgeable of the issues under discussion…facts be damned!

At this point, the support for, and endless excuses in support of, Trump is reflective of the lack of critical thought…or, to be fair, entirely selfish financial gain…of the individual providing that support. Of course, there’s also room for racism and misogyny in there, but let’s pretend that doesn’t exist in American politics or on this Forum, and just put it down to blind idiocy, which should be more palatable to both sides.

The mirror can only reflect what is placed in front of it. What is it saying of you?

The whole fucking charade is a licensing grift!

Watch “Shark Tank” and you see and hear the same shit from that “licensing” (money for nothing) grifter O’Leary. And, the sheep follow.
I wonder if this sort of 100% transparent grift is actually market research to essentially create a database / mailing list of 'true believers'?. I've always thought things like trumps twitter account are actually 90% followed by people that hate him, but to actually put your hand in your pocket and buy this tat you would have to be 100% maga, and indeed it may seek out the quiet supporters that don't want to walk around in a red Baseball cap.

He needs cash and it's a licence to print money. He's following a trend I think, there's already unofficial Trump coins being sold on Amazon USA.

Unsurprisingly he wants a piece of the pie.

In other news Trump Media & Technology Group Corp (aka Truth Social) stock closed at $13.55 on Friday - 83% down on it's launch price in February 2022.

The drop continued today to $12.55 and still falling. Trump’s shares are now worth $1.4Bn.

There are legal questions over whether he can sell yet given he indicated to the market he wasn’t going to and he has a material holding. At the very least there’s probably not enough liquidity in the market for him to sell such a large volume at that price.

This is relevant because the civil fraud case appeal is set to start with oral arguments on Thursday. That will likely take a month to reach a verdict. He would be on the hook for nearly $500m, he also currently owes Carroll $90m pending those appeals. He has $145m of assets locked up as part of the civil fraud bond which would be immediately seized if he loses appeal.

So basically by the end of October he might need to find $400m - which is immediately prior to the election, it would be a huge distraction. He seemed to struggle enough scraping the bond money together. Even if he does sell up to pay his legal bills it would be quite funny if he ended up selling his Truth Social stock, crashing the value, and in so doing all the MAGA fans will have effectively siphoned $400m straight to the state of New York.

This is not a subject I am an expert on but have been following and listening to
Podcasts on the election interviewing individuals heavily involved in the election process.

There also seems to be a fourth group:

Republicans (who could shift sides) and swing voters who see immigration and the economy, esp the cost of living crisis, as the two most important issues and don’t think
Kamala Harris has communicated a solution to resolve these issues. Although they don’t like Trumps rhetoric they would accept his boorish behaviour as these two issues supersede all others.
It was Trump that killed the immigration Bill.

Inflation is down and the Fed has started cutting rates.

The economy is strong and the Dow is a record high.
