Pep picked an 11 that is actually incapable of creating anything. It’s like we are playing for a 0-0 first 60 mins to then attack when subs are made. But can we keep a clean sheet for that long, offering nothing the other way? Seems unlikely.
 
We are pushing them too far back into their own half. Draw them to the halfway line, get it to Grealish and then knock one over the top to Haaland. With no Foden, there is nobody to run through them in the midfield and it’s all horizontal.
 
Gonna be a long few weeks of passing without purpose until Pep fully trusts/figures out how to sort the Rodri absence.

He’s worried today about the transitions without him hence a team of players comfortable on the ball. A bit too safe
 
Our lack of interest in attacking quickly is

a) mildly frustrating
b) massively frustrating
c) shut up you entitled fanny wipe
 
This is going as predicted.

City with plenty of the ball but not doing anything with it then newcastle can easily counter.

Cutting edge and quality to hurt teams while in possession is going to be a problem.
 
This is dreadful. Haaland hold up play poor, midfield can’t keep the ball, Gvardiol AWOL, Dias has been making strange decisions
 
Has Gundy played every game so far ?

Foden would offer much more today than gundogan
