City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

I wonder why those clubs—particularly Arsenal—have been so keen to undermine our challenge both privately and publicly…

Presumably shareholder loans will now have to be included within the APT rules, with a commercial rate of interest being applied from a PSR perspective.

Could well be the biggest victory for us if so.

Remember how this was reported at the beginning?
‘City suing the premier league’
‘It’s disgraceful’
‘We’re ruining football’
‘How dare they sue the PL just because they don’t agree with a rule’
Well here’s mine and everybody associated with City’s response.
UNLAWFUL!
Cunts.

This. All day this. Pricks all need to reign in their dogshit metaphors.

What does this mean?

Premier league rules found unlawful but the organization has the backing to make rules that aren’t utterly biased and fucked.

Personally I don’t have faith in the them to do that, but it’s face saving for the pl to not be told they’re unfit for purpose and probably the only silver lining they had

They tried to introduce new rules which would be unlawful and contravene competition law.

They also unfairly blocked two deals (I imagine huge ones) without sharing evidence to why, and left us hanging for 3 months.

I think these are good signs for the other case. Imagine how many other rules have actually been unlawful down the years...
