City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Are there possible implications on Clubs that voted in favour of these ammendments?

Surely if they didnt understand the legal issues that some of the rules implemented have broken (in law) there must be an element of not just agreeing with the PL and voting in favour of anything they do without doing their own due dilligence? If not it shows what a closed shop it really is, just sheep following the sheep dog but without truely understanding (or caring to understand) the ramifications of their voting power.

City win, they've never tried to challenge the legality of the APT system as a whole before and they could have done at any time, so I'm guessing they tacked this on their main complaint about the new rules just because they could and because why not.

My understanding is that when writing these things, lawyers will throw in absolutely every argument they can reasonably make because you only get one hearing and you could end up with your first 3 arguments rejected and a 4th saving you. City won on the points they went to the tribunal over (the new rules) and lost on the bits they added.

I wonder which 3 clubs are driving this...

The top 3 we all know are protectionist bullies. The fans of the others should really be directing serious questions to their owners and boards. Why allow those running your clubs to turn you into cuckolds to the greedy, insecure red filth? Forever in their controlling shadows. Well not now - should be thanking us.

Just reading through the finding now in a bit more detail (I mean, what happens on the pitch is nothing compared to the excitement of these courtroom battles, eh?) and, I have to say, I can't read this any other way than we absolutely wiped the floor with them. They have to literally go back and increase value they placed on two city sponsorship deals.

There is no other way to read it. We won every major point it seems.

They've not followed their own rules. Those rules were discriminatory and were specifically applied in an unfair and discriminating way to Manchester City. They've reached competition law.

Ignore the bbc trying to get a punch in with things like city didn't win all their arguments, they're already on the canvas and the court has been completed, they just don't know it yet.

Whilst we should absolutely treat the '115' case separately, this can't hurt either. How inept have they been to suggest something so obviously in violation of the law? And this was supposed to be a refinement of the previous rules which they want to do us under. Plus, revaluing those two sponsorship deals.... They may not be relevant at all to the other case but again, if these are shown to have been regarded incorrectly by the self appointed authority, even discriminatory, then I bet the others reek of it also.

Also, to put it bluntly, they have cheated.

The twats at the BBC trying to put a different spin on the decision.

We now know for certain who are enemies are - Rags, Bus Wreckers, The Arse, Spurs, Brighton and Wet Sham. Bastards the lot.

I will now look on - Chelsea, Bar Codes, Forest and the Toffees as really good guys.
