City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

I recently had a run in with the Beeb re a recent Dan Roan article where he quoted CAS as saying there was ‘insufficient evidence’ to convict City. After a few weeks of back and forth they apologised and admitted it was error - the CAS summary only used the words ‘no evidence’. The BBC are a disgrace these days.
Good work ;-)

I don’t see this as the massive win it’s portrayed as unless we can book those 2 sponsorships that were rejected as not FMV, isn’t that the whole point? Can anyone explain what will happen with these now?

Well, well, well.

Firstly, the stones on City for taking this fight on when already in the midst of the other fight, is hugely commendable and shows the level of intelligence and competence at the club.

Second- we talk on here of conspiracies and “the cartel”. Well, today is all the proof we need we’ve been right for the last decade and more.

Third, yet another example of the PL making rules up as it goes along, at the behest of a a few select favourites. Even when those rules are unfair and unlawful.

Fourth - the biggest example of “acting in bad faith” you’ll ever see. Yet these cunts have the gall to charge us with “not acting in good faith”? You couldn’t make this up.

Fifth - blind eye to the shareholder loans that a lot of these cunts are being held up by. The likes of Arsenal and Everton will be fucking shitting themselves re PSR now.

Sixth - Panja, Zeigler, Lawton and Keegan shown up as the KFAs they are and none should ever be named as “sources” on here ever again.

This is a seismic day. City have taken the cheating fuckers on and showed them up for what they are. Heroic.

What a day to be a blue.
My man.

Suprised Arsenal didnt write a letter to be fair ...

Some of these clubs are either being blind led or bullied by our USA friends

Having read the PL statement it’s pathetic. It ranks with some of the worst responses from guilty parties in recent times. Embarrassing for the supposed regulators of the best league in the world.
Not least because the PL is supposed to be non partisan and represent ALL its clubs not just a small cabal.

I don’t think we lost any. The fact that some of the reasons for the laws being unlawful were dismissed did not change the outcome that the rules are unlawful.
We didn’t really lose any, though.

Some of our arguments regarding why the APT rules (original and revised) are unlawful were dismissed, but our overall charge that they are unlawful in previous and current form, and that the league unfairly targeted City (and Newcastle) and violated there own rules in doing so, were upheld in their entirety. The text of the decision also alludes to quite shady internal practices being driven by certain executives at certain clubs, which itself also confirms City’s assertion that the league has been working to unfairly advantage certain clubs at the expense of others.

We didn’t actually lose a single aspect of our challenge—we went 7 for 7 from the penalty spot.

Sorry not had time to read all posts so apologies of Q asked or answer posted somewhere else

Where do folk think the news on the illegality of shareholder loans leave the Chavs with the Abramovich cash injection or is that all now a mountain of dust under the carpet?

As usual, main united mate when I’m rubbing his nose in it, “careful what you wish for, revelling in the start of the end of the Prem as we all know and love”, hahahaha.

I sent him back a screenshot of the league table & the circa £650mil spend under tent peg and asked is that our fault too….

The gormless **** hasn’t clicked that so can United
It’s not even true. There will still be rules in place but firstly they will have to be lawful and secondly they will have to be applied evenly to all clubs. All football fans should want and expect the PL to do this.

In an era of seeing people sentenced to years in prison for spreading misinformation on social media, that **** Sandra Brent Goldbridge should be doing life.

Who is this Magic hat twat, says City have only won a couple of minor points, good day for the prem league he says. Obviously a red of some persuasion
