City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Long before? He left in mid June 2018 , takeover was September 1 - Google says 81 days.
2008 he joined Fulham he wasn’t CEO at City when Sheikh Mnasour took over Garry Cooke was in place from 2008 to 2011, John MacBeath was interim until Ferran Soriano was in place in 2012 IMG_0121.jpeg

I don't think they said the PL had won, their stance was more like, there is no clear winner?
Comparing the result to a football result is what’s daft.

The PL weren’t trying to win anything. They were trying to keep the current rules in force. They were successful in 23 out of 25 of those.

City were trying to change 25, of which we prevailed in 2.

Now these 2 rule changes might be seismic or they might not be.

The APT rules may be null and void or they may not be.

No one currently knows and we are all awaiting what happens next.

Looking at the original sponsorship which many said was inflated now looks like a fantastic deal.
Etihad obviously looked at the project by CFG & liked what they saw.
So the question is what is an over inflated deal?
Completely agree, legendary presentation of what the City project will be back at the start convincing top execs that this is the right club to be associated with. 100% we'll sponsor for 10 years and pay the full amount up front because we are convinced this will be a success with our fast track support. If it all went wrong and you don't get perceived FMV you suck it up, egg on your face and some exec gets fired (see them and Chevrolet).

It wasn't Levy, the guy who wrote that email was called to the hearing as a witness for the PL and cross-examined. The only witness from a club called by the PL was from Brighton &HA FC. So I am guessing it was either the CEO or the legal counsel.
it couldve been levy because if stood behind desk nobody will see him

I wonder what tone we will get from neville and co at the weekend , will they wind their necks in a bit and admit the pl rules are unlawful or behave themselves and go with the party line ? Cant wait to find out

It's the impact that those 2 rules have on the whole APT rules as you state that will decide the outcome.

However, those two judgements alone have already meant that the PL will have to rewrite their rules and that isn't going to be simple by the looks of things.

I think you know the answer to that. They’ll be sick as parrots but pretending to be concerned (through gritted teeth) :-)

Absolutely, but we don’t know if it will be a simple solution or not.

If it is, the ability to see the PL spreadsheet for FMV calculations is still a big “win”.
