Arsenal's biggest problem is Arteta himself, he is mentally fragile and prone to hysteria when things are not right for him.
His club have an absolutely abysmal disciplinary record, which means he either hasn't got the control over them that he should have or that it's part of some weird tactical battle he has going on in his head. Either way it shows a weakness that a professional football manager should not have. Under his leadership Arsenal have adapted the Dipper perspective of always being the victims and refusing to accept responsibility for their own errors.
And despite the amount of money they have spent they still fall back on the dark arts in order to get through 90-odd minutes of football.

Somewhere beneath that strange, cube-like bonce of his there is a decent, personable man who perhaps would have done well to cut his teeth in the lower leagues before taking the hot seat of a Prem club. But I really do feel at this moment in time that he is doomed to failure because of this odd, pessimistic streak that he has, and that he seems to have passed on to his players.

I think you are spot on, Arteta’s over the top intensity borders on hysteria, and he is transmitting it to his players. How else do you explain the awful decision making by three hugely experienced international players, resulting in the recent red cards. All completely avoidable.
It is often overlooked what a total snide Arteta was as a player, diving, waving imaginary cards around, goading supporters. Precisely the same mentality he displays now as a coach.

Right across Super Sunday, Match of the Day 2, the Football Show, Monday Nught Football and hearing what’s been said on the radio, the only pundit out of about a dozen on TV and radio who said it wasn’t a goal was Micah Richards just after the game had finished and even he’d changed his mind by the end of the Lpool-Chels game.

It’s clearly their (and Micah’s) bias that is clouding their judgement.

Most Gooners recognise that was a red, but we also feel we have a good enough team to beat Bmth even with 10 so we are perplexed as to why Arteta started with Merino, Partey and Rice in midfield (that's a midfield you take to the Etihad or Klanfield, not Bmth) and then when we were down to 10 he took Sterling off instead of Trossard meaning we had no pace. Given the fact we had no Odegaard or Saka there was no creativity and also Arteta saying the red card changed the game- well at 11 v 11 we were dogshit as well and had no shots on target.

Saturday was 100% on Arteta from a tactical perspective and wasn't anywhere near good enough. That being said these things happen so we need to bounce back but I feel he needs to be braver in certain games and keep the attackers on.

Also, he has an unbelievable young player in Ethan Nwaneri. This lad is going to the top. How about you start playing him Mikel? Ok maybe he's not ready to play at the Etihad but Bournemouth away when Saka and Odegaard are out? That was the perfect match for him to come in.

If that great unbeaten side was in the league the year we got 100 points, heck even the year we got 98 points then that great achievement would have counted for tiddly squat. You can get relegated being unbeaten. Drawing 12 games is laughable, not being competitive in any other competition whilst having that super team is laughable. Diving at home to Portsmouth to maintain that unbeaten run was laughable. Three premier league titles is also....laughable.

All competitions.

They lost to United in the FA Cup, to Boro home and away in the EFL Cup and to Inter, Kyiv and Chelsea in the CL.

Last season we only lost to Wolves, Arsenal and Villa in the PL, United in the FA Cup and Newcastle in the EFL Cup.

Preston lost to nobody in 1888-89 in either the Football League or FA Cup (and didn’t concede a goal in the FA Cup). Granted a smaller number of games, but they still did it and nobody else ever has across all competitions.

Honestly, this reads like something you'd see on a Dippers forum. What City have done is amazing - but in return you don't need to belittle what other teams have done in previous eras. Stay classy and leave the shouting and insults to the Rags and the Victims. There's a reason most fans wanted City to win the league if their own team didn't and that's because there was a lack of gloating.
