City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

It's all gone very quiet, which I see as a good thing because anything negative gets leaked. I wonder where we stand regarding getting the sponsorships through, and any possible compensation?

The 115ers have quietened down as well, you still see a few snide digs but not at the peak before Masters was exposed.

Hopefully this is not nonsense.

It’ll have lasted 7 weeks rather than the 10 then.

Might well get the outcome by Christmas.

The media the next couple of weeks will be very telling.

They’ll either lay the ground for us getting a bumming or they’ll start with the backtracking and narrative changing.

I know which version my money is on.

They've already started with their government intervention narrative. It's the best face saving excuse they can come up with to explain why their Dastardly schemes to stop City are falling apart like a cheap suit...

They can do all the 'Yeah buts' they fucking want, gives us a reason to continue the hate against them all.

The media will have 2 stories ready to go. Either, we're guilty, or we're guilty but 'got away with it'. I don't expect whatever happens there will be any use of words like cleared, vindicated or innocent.

True, but, nevertheless, if we are cleared they will have to be very, very careful about the words they use. "Got away with it" might be actionable in that it (intentionally) implies that we have broken the rules, charges we'd have been cleared of.

More likely, they'll do what they've done with CAS and analyse the judgment trying to find a "technicality" and the loonies will be going even further down the rabbit hole trying to find "evidence" that our witnesses have lied and demanding the PL appeal They'll never stop but at least they'll have to be more careful what they say.

Harris is at this very moment painting bricks sky blue in preparation of throwing them at his own windows

Well those who have already proclaimed us guilty will always cling to some excuse, no matter how flimsy or ridiculous, when they are proven ultimately proven wrong. They want to save face and not be shown up as the biased, prejudiced, brain washed sheep (or idiots) that they are. Let them believe whatever they want to console themselves with because they will be fucking ropeable when or if we are exonerated.

Meanwhile, the rest of us will go on with our lives, feeling vindicated that the smear campaign by the red cartel, UEFA and the gutter press will have collapsed around them and the obvious retribution and retaliation from the club awaits them with great vengeance and fury. Hope these people have good lawyers and deep pockets because the price they might have to pay will be very steep indeed.

Once City are cleared you would hope the non cartel clubs stick together and demand an investigation into this.
This has cost the clubs millions because the cartel clubs have been allowed to run the pl to suit them.
The cartel will be in a weak place and the other clubs need to act.
All City want is clear and fair competition, surely the non cartel clubs should want the same ?

They do but don’t believe we will provide it. We have filthy oil money, you see.

From what iv witnessed over the years the non cartel clubs accept there is a pecking order and that they accept whatever scraps are offered.

But I think City offer a way for them to make more money, have more of a share, it just needed someone big enough to take on the red clubs.

It's been interesting though, seeing how the non cartel clubs just have to accept what's left over from the cartel clubs.

Another great article by Martin Samuel making the cartel have it.

Forest proving this is good title race – but Newcastle and United should be in it too
