The worrying thing is, teams were happy enough to sit deep anyway for damage limitation but now they do it just so they can turn us around quickly. And it’s working.

Pep either figures out how to deal with that or avoid compressing the pitch so much.

That half was as good as we’ve played in weeks but yet again, gifted the opposition a goal.

Foden has been excellent.

Really liking Nunes on the wing.

Savinho needs serious work on his finishing. He makes Grealish look like Haaland in front of goal.

I really wish the old Bernie would come back. He can’t do anything right on the ball.

We’re simply too nice to play against. Unless Haaland is in top form we are toothless up front. Combine that with being completely open at the back, it’s a big worry.

On one hand I feel for Pep. We’ve got some huge players injured and he’s not been backed in the transfer window since the treble winning season.

On the other, he’s the best manager in the world and needs to sort it out. I go back to the Fulham game at home when they really should have put 4 or 5 past us. Not much has really changed since then.
