Liked the system and could be an interesting option in the longer term, but we need more mobile players for it to work, or at least take our chances when they present. However, we have continued to struggle against any decent team since Rodri’s departure, particularly when we tire in the second half, and that doesn’t bode well for the coming weeks.
 
I know we have got through some bad spells before, but there is no coming back from this one. This team is on life support.
So many thing wrong that I just dont see them being fixed.
Defensive shambles. Midfield control. Creativity. Finishing. All non existent at the moment.
 
I really don’t think we are in a dip of form I think this is the level of these players. Injuries & players already one foot out of the door means this is us for the rest of the season.
 
Squad is knackered. We're limping at the moment. First halves have been ok and then we run out of energy. Limping.

Absolutely no need for hysterics. If Liverpool win we're only 5 points off the top. Get through the injury crisis, get some players back, and see where we are at.
 
Can't expect to do as well when we've signed substandard players to replace those who left and also not get a player to rotate with Rodri.

In the summer we need a defensive midfielder, an attacking midfielder, right back and maybe another centre back as we can't rely on Stones as a strong breeze injures him.
 
The missus just said it's because Pep knows it doesn't matter because we're getting a points deduction.
Would explain a lot I suppose.
Club do seem to be behaving like we're taking a hit this season.
 
That's the easiest 200 quid I've ever made at the bookies.

Is what it is. Injuries have absolutely fucked us. I'd be more worried if this was happening and we had a full team out. Football innit. Nevermind, hopefully we manage to qualify for the CL later stages and get everybody fit and firing.

Might be speculating but could KDB be playing like this because we have told him he’s not getting a new contract?
 
A number of players are done and unfortunately with injuries and pep showing loyalty it’s showing on the pitch every game we need energy in the team and runners and it was quite telling that once savinho went off we were totally under the gosh,although we already started dropping off from the whistle second half ..
 
The level of quality in our squad, in key positions and across the board, has been systemically downgraded for some time, and now it is showing

We’ve known for years we need a Rodri backup, they didn’t fucking address that

We have 2 players who we can rely on for goals, Haaland and Foden, who else is there??

Nunes, Walker need binning. KDB is sadly finished and has lost 5 yards of pace it seems. The wide players are not of the level or threat Sterling & Sane were back in the day.

Rico Lewis is a solid member of the squad and still so young, but he’s a total luxury out there when times are tough

We need a decision from Pep and either get a couple of quality bodies in in January, or else get a new manager in the summer and start planning for a PROPER rebuild in the summer. Not signing average squad players like Nunes.
