David Coote | Charged with making indecent video of a child (p57)

We don’t lose many, so it stands to reason a ref that only recently became a top flight ref wouldn’t see us lose. Plus, he hasn’t had too many big City games.

We all know that STATISTICS can be made to make almost any argument, but I’m not even sure what argument is being made here?

That City are perennial winners or that Liverpool have got a fair shake from him?!
Think it was Mark Twain who once said -
There are lies, damn lies and statistics .

I have pointed this out previously but if you watch this over the referee re starts the game with an indirect free kick on the edge of the box. This means it was off side before rodri became involved
Exactly, why Frank Lampard had such a hissy fit on TV about the handball afterwards seems very strange. He would surely have known Richarlesons enormous nose was offside

So is that another asterisks for us then, because Liverpool have decided coote liked us more than them when we won the league?

It is the fault of the club who represent fans. There's no denying the fans are low life scum that like to cause as much damage as possible. They're cunts of the highest order and I wouldn't put anything past this lot.
You can't blame the fans for the actions of the club. Similarly, we can't be held responsible if City are found to be guilty of the 115 charges.

Pretty sure it was Paul Tierney who should of sent Milner off.
I remember him laughing in Foden's face when he asked the ref for a 2nd yellow for Milner's assault on Bernardo.
I think the ref thought he'd leave his card in his pocket because of the fact Bernie DIDN'T ACTUALLY BREAK HIS NECK when landing on his head from Milner's crass challenge
It definitely was Tierney. I remember saying he will struggle here as he refs with no real courage. I was right, he had a shocker. He only got away without massive criticism because he favoured the dippers. How Milner was not sent off beggars belief and he didn’t give the nailed on pen on Foden. The game was too big for him. Imagine the uproar if it had been City who had received the favourable decisions, Klopp’s head would have exploded putting his gnashers in orbit..

Can we now claim the 81 league cup final as Alf Grey disallowed a perfectly good Reeves goal...
No we can't..we aren't victims
I remember it well, although I thought it was Neil Midgley..
Was gutted that night, silence was deafening on the 52 on the way home.

As Harry Enfield's informative docuseries showed us, that is a natural position for a Scouser.

Why are we even discussing this when the game was pulled back because an Everton players was off side. It doesn't matter what Rodri did with the ball lol it was off side

I believe the game was stopped for an offside after the Rodri incident. I don't think they had conclusive images to quickly make a decision on Rodri, as they have to be sure that it hit further down his arm, so I think VAR got it right anyway.

This is the pass just before he calls offside, and he signals on offside before VAR looks at the Rodri decision, so it's not come from VAR. The player on the touchline is the one who receives the pass, and he is the one given offside. It's also on that line that Ederson takes the freekick. The ref even tells him to move it back towards City's goal as he tries to take it on the edge of the area.

The Richarlison through ball was very close, and potentially would also have been offside if it was checked. But it was maybe 15 yards further from the goal, so it definitely wasn't that one that the ref called.

Just accept it that the integrity of the game is at question here. It was a definite penalty. Frank Lampards interview about his 3 year old kid would have whistled for that penalty.
I am definitely a doubter now. Chris K was in the VAR panel. Doubts galore.
If Everton scored that penalty, then both Liverpool and Man City were tied on 63 points each after 27 games. Liverpool lost that league by a single point.
OFF FUCKING SIDE IN THE BUILDUP. Stop crying.

You have put a fair bit of work into that post but let's be honest.....
Only a stupid fucking scouser still cares. The referee made a decision. The world outside dipperville knows that once he has given the decision and Var has agreed (or not got involved) the decision is final. No matter how many times scousers bleat, it is going to change, and certainly not 2 years later.
I could moan about all the dubious (cough) decisions they have been given but I realise, a) I'm not a sad sack of shit and b) there is fuck all I can do about it.
Even rag fans don't go on about decisions that are occasionally given against them.

Well, about 2 minutes to get a screenshot, and as I said, I don't think it was an obvious handball for VAR to overturn anyway.

I had however, seen the offside mentioned about a dozen times in this thread alone, so plenty of City fans appear to care. Just thought they'd like to know it might not be a hill worth dying on.
