To be fair I took that post down. I am a nice guy. But let’s face it — I’m having a hard time understanding what set of circumstances would ever sway you from this man. Can’t really spend a lot of time with someone whose basic character you don’t understand.

Fair enough.

I think your framing is is wrong. I'm not a Trumpist. But I like most of the team he has assembled.

And I am hopeful that they'll be successful. If he fails, or he is failing then I'll say so. But I'm not going to jump on some bandwagon hate-fest of predicting failure because you and some leftists here don't like him.

Let's take Matt Gaetz for example, how should I judge him? You and some here have insisted that he was credibly accused of child sex rape and trafficking.

I find that label jarring "credibly accuse." What does that mean exactly? A Biden DOJ investigated him and concluded they didn't have enough evidence to prosecute, talk less convict him. Did they just give him a pass? And if so, why? Isn't Biden's DoJ morally culpable if they have him a pass?

Look, Matt Gaetz has a punchable face. Looks like the kinda of guy I used to love to hate when you was in college. Oozes unwarranted
But is my bias based on his looks a legitimate basis for deeming accusations against him viable?

Why wasn't a case brought by the DOJ?. What deals were made? I need information. So I'm not convinced the accusations are enough. How am I sure this is not just political and a smear job?

My objections to Gaetz then can only come from his record. And there I don't see any depth in his profile. I cannot consider an unsubstantiated accusation in my evaluation. Yet so many here as the basid for their objection.

I was thinking Homeland Security for Boebert but he’s already given it to someone called Kristi Noem. FEMA comes under DHS and Noem is a climate change denier which makes her ideally suited for the role if you’re choosing the worst possible candidate for the job as Trump seems to be doing for everything.

I called the election early and was glad the American people had their democracy, thinking that all would be good as they’d all be held to account.

Now I look at it and think what an absolute shit-show with the people who are being appointed. It’s like a wave of populism with the only intent to cause chaos.

Let’s see if this chaos theory works, only time will tell.
