Agreed. You can't keep erecting statues to deserving individuals. You'll have to draw the line eventually, otherwise it'll just look silly. Re Pep, I'd be more in favour of naming the expanded North stand after him.

If true that sounds a perfect request to the club to move heaven and earth to comply with. Pretty sure there should be a virtual 100% agreement within the management in order for City to remain the premier team in the PL.

It’s good news Pep has said that as as I am sure our owners would have wanted to sell Rodri and Haaland otherwise.
 
The thing is, the club hierarchy cannot guarantee those things. It can only promise to 'do its best'. Modern players can't be held against their will. Other clubs can always say 'no' to transfer requests, or demand a stupid fee.
